What religion, or a philosophy would I be in if I believe that god(not a specific one), or some sort of a higher power exists, but I dont give it a name. I also believe that every religion ultimately believes in the same thing, but they just call it different names like god, allah etc.

I am just curious what I should call myself, please dont try and tell me that my theory is wrong if you dont agree.

while surfing around or answering questions on yahoo answers, to accually go to a web site that has blatent factual falsehoods. aren't you even a tad curious as to what outsiders have to say? and the proofs that they have regarding the WTBTS?
oh...and by the way, has any jw ever just googled jehovah's witnesses and accually researched the history of the religion you dedictated your life to? or is that a no no?

The Bible says that we must believe and follow the words within the Bible, as does the Khuran, the Torah and the Vedas texts.

How can a follower (Hindu:devotee) of a religion(Relationship with God) believe in something that was written by people.
Humans don't have the best track record for telling the truth?

(i understand islam is a bit different as the texts of the Khuran were mainly transcribed by the prophet or those close to him)

A lot of people seem to have the most difficult time understanding that the same word can have multiple definitions. I don't know why, since we use words with multiple definitions all the time. We all understand the difference between an electrical cord and a cord of wood. So why doesn't everyone understand the different uses of the word "theory"?

Feedback please? What do you all think of the idea of going to church online? Would any of you (especially my friends) be willing to check out an online church and provide me with your thoughts on the experience?

I'm a member of a multi-site church that launched an "Internet campus" earlier this year. I attend the Saturday evening service online (and the local "live" service on Sundays)...I'm part of the leadership team that assists with site design issues, brainstorming new features we could offer, and more. The service starts in about 15 minutes at http://www.reallifeconnect.org ...click the "Worship Experience link and, if you like, open the streaming feed in Windows media player (or just watch it on the little box embedded on the page). The feed will start right at 7 PM CDT.

The message should be an interesting one on the trinity...I'll be in the chat room if anyone wants to talk. General feedback on the idea or specific feedback on the experience welcome. Thanks!

Why is all religion bad if there is true faith such as an innocent child like trust in God and Jesus ? What about the millions of good deeds done in the name of faith in God like helping the poor, feeding the hungry, prayers for peace and love and reconciliation thats free from aggressive acts and prosilityzing ? Why not have such a wonderful thing ?
