If money is the root of all evil then why are the churches so wealthy???

Definitely not religion as some think. The Bible tells
us that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. We
see it to be true when politicians and Hollywood all
want either money or power. Some people will do
anything for money (even murder their own family).
People will marry just for the money (but it never
lasts). I've never seen true Christians rape, murder,
or cause problems. All my friends are continually
helping others in one way or another (the poor, soup
kitchens, volunteering, sitting with the elderly , helping
slow children with their reading, working on Habitat
of Humanity, sending missionaries to foreign countries
to bring health and medicines, sending money for Aids
and other horrible diseases, and the list goes on and on).

Mankind in general. That is the root of most evil! All the mistakes we've made throughout history hasn't taught most a darned thing;P We keep on going round and round, never upgrading our personal selves as a whole. Never trying to correct repeated mistakes. Mankind is a warring species, and most likely will remain so for a lot longer;( I'm sick of it..truly...and pray for an end to it all.

The love of money. I know the bible says this so it must be true, but the root of the evil we are seeing today, Osama Bin Laden,,,,that is not because of money...that is just evil to make another bend to your will in the name of religion. I expect there are many roots to this vine. So far, I can't see money as the reason, but maybe there is something I don't know.

The root of all evil is religion, history has proven over and over again just how evil religion really is, and we are about to experience just how evil it is between Christianity and the Islamic religion, the bloodshed will be catastrophic between these two religions, they both have slaughtered one another many times over the last fifteen hundred years, and it is about to happen again, and as a catholic Christian I truly fear for the lives of many thousands of families from both sides that will feel the hatred between these two religions, all I can say is God have mercy on us all.

Money is not the root of all evil. I love what money can buy! Some say it can't buy happiness. OH REALLY??? What if you're short on rent and stressed out, then you come across some money and are happy happy? Oh yes, money buy happiness. It just can't buy love, that's all.

Money itself is just a paper. how come it be evil.

we need money to survive in this world.

i believe the root of all evil is refuse to control their money and let money control you is root of all evil.

for example.
those who are fear to control their money, refuse to take charge of their finanical, run wild in shopping all day long.
at the end, they have nothing for their retirement and they start to blame everyone for their mishap.

some rich man cannot escape from money even they are rich.. they need money as they think that money prove they are worthly in the world.

fear and greedy are in rampant in their mind, thus the money control them.

the only way to control money is to understand money itself and understand yourself.
