The Bible says that we must believe and follow the words within the Bible, as does the Khuran, the Torah and the Vedas texts.

How can a follower (Hindu:devotee) of a religion(Relationship with God) believe in something that was written by people.
Humans don't have the best track record for telling the truth?

(i understand islam is a bit different as the texts of the Khuran were mainly transcribed by the prophet or those close to him)

To Defend from unanswers from JanicaJayne and TroothBtold:

TroothBtold: the 'relationship with god' phase was inserted based on my experience of arguing religion with christians

JanicaJayne: Islam is different because the prophet brought the islam to the people, straight from the mouth of the preacher. Jesus never wrote any scriptures. God arguably only wrote the ten commandments.

Forgive my misspelling of Quran

God is the author of Sacred Scripture because it has been written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Church accepts as sacred and canonical all of the books of the Old and New Testament, whole and entire, with all their parts.

God chose and inspired certain men who used their own powers in writing. The Spirit showed them what he wanted written and no more. They were still true authors.

Because all that the human author wrote was affirmed by the Spirit, these books teach faithfully and without error what God wanted to reveal for our salvation.

Nevertheless, the Christian faith is not a "religion of the book" but of the living Word of God (Jesus).

The Bible was written by fallible people with an agenda towards getting others to believe their religion. The Old Testament was written by sheep herders who thought the world was flat and that you could reach the sky if you built a big enough tower. They lived in a world of superstition and ignorance, believing every bolt of lightning and every earthquake to be caused by the scary genie in the sky. Really, are these the best people to tell us anything about God?

What does a Hindu devotee base their belief on?
What does anyone base their belief on? Somewhere along the line someone else has some (or a lot) of input no matter what the belief.

Choose wisely, good luck.

How do you know those prophets of Islam didn't lie to suit their purposes, same as the monks in other religions did? How do you know they really were people of God?

particular, God's word and Spirit artwork mutually in solidarity of direction, yet God waits for us to desire in faith. The hand of God does not circulate till we pray. His word is going forth and does not return void (Isaiah fifty 5:11).

Khuran is spelled Koran or Quran, and what else is god going to do, he had his prophets write down and it's up to the people weather to believe it or not.

The only scriptures that you ignore to your peril are inscribed on your heart and they weren't put there by man. It is a human trait to inherit misconception or "sin" from our ancestors be something new listen to your heart. If you know yourself you are as great as Christ or Buddha.
