I have friends who white and they say Jesus is white, and I also have friends who are black that say that Jesus was black.I tell those races that he was neither. They asked me then what Jesus
Latino such as yourself?I told them no Jesus was not even Hispanic.Hispanic people did not even exist in Jesus time, and Hispanic is more of a preference, never a race.Jesus was human. In fact Jesus lived a pre human existance before he came to earth, taught us that he was the son of god,and he died for us because of our sins. What does it matter if Jesus was black or white?Jesus himself was not partial of race,so what would it matter? These idiots still did not get the point after I had explained to them who Jesus was.Although Israel formerly
known as Canaan, was inhabited with people of color,it was not documented that Jesus was black. The bible says he had hair of wool, ashy feet, est. But there are many people around the globe that look like that. You don't have to be black to have those dominant features.

One of my college professors was lecturing us on mesopotamian mythology, but brought in other unrelated topics. She strikes me as being a liberal, atheist, and feminist out to prove her point in class, and teach her opinion as though it were fact. Here's more or less what she said two days ago:

"You see that the mesopotamians had female gods that are demoted from being sky gods to being earth gods, stripped of their power. And by the time we get to Judeo-Christian and Islamic tradition, there are no more female deities represented in the religion."

Does anyone else see the flaw in this statement? Does anyone else see what she failed to mention? Christians, Jews, Muslims: what do you think about this?

A man told me that religion is the disease of humanity. I think that bad religious thinking mixed with violence is the disease. What about all the good that has come from true faith and all the good deeds ?

In a previous question a pagan said they did not become pagans, rather they were born pagans.
This response is illogical.
Look at feral children.
How many feral children become pagans or Christians?
nada, zilch.
Logic demands we are born atheists, and as we develop, the pseudo sciences cause us to become religious.
I do not point this out to demonize that pagan, only show how faulty she was.

It is truly shocking for us to hear this; but the Word of God says there is no longer any blessing of God upon those attending churches anywhere in the world. We have to understand this is why the great tribulation is so awful. The Bible declares that Satan is now the one receiving the worship in the churches:
For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the Comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed. (Lamentations 1:16)
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:8)

it's like this: my life is rubbish,i feel god has cursed me, and for all i know about what the bible has to say about my case in it's entirety, the things that god has in store with my blight(life),cause all things work out for the better, i know that god would want to have me do something for his glory in all this blight for a life of mine, yea i'm willing to do what ever it takes to get god to bless me back to normal and avoid hell after all, the complication with me is i blissfully get off on imagining "what if" of my life and all creation, i really enjoy those kind of fantasies i know i must make what i want of my life in god a reality, but somethings even god won't willingly possibly do like change my past, i love to imagine things like a better destiney from the start but
is this way of thinking evil? is imagining things that even god can't possibly do for me without violating his perfect character a sin? if so i am going to be miserable as hell maybe even for life its how i am

I don't believe in any supernatural power, what can I call myself? Atheist or irreligious?
Is there any religious atheist? is there any athestic religion like eastern ones for example taoism?
I think most of us who call ourself atheist ,are irreligious in fact.
Atheism defenition sounds to be about denying "personal gods" only not all sort of supernatural powers.
what's your idea?

Time is a property of our universe. They say God is eternal but then turn around and say he exists outside of time and space. Well the concept of an eternity requires time. If God exists outside of time, then an eternity is an inappropriate term for God's living conditions. Without time, you simply do not have an eternity.

My husband asked for a divorce in June 18, of this year while he was in Iraq (BTW he is still there) He said that if he continues to be with me he would be living a lie. I am a true believer in Christ our Lord...I don't want a divorce...please pray that God can heal my marriage and pray for my husband because I feel he is being lead by the devil's lies. Please pray for us...we need all the prayers we can get.

I am praying daily for him and for us...I am asking everyone to pray.

A quote from a Christian who was talking about the Great Flood peaked my interest...:

"there was a mass genocide of babies, plus many of the babies were brought upon, or born through evil, as they were born from rape or adultry"

So according to THAT above this text...if a woman was raped or commited adultry, it is ok to have an abortion, since God killed the newborns and young ones because of this, no? My point on abortion is if it is in extenuating circumstances (i.e. rape or some sort of medical problem) then a woman if she (and the man she is with, if there is one) so chooses, she can have an abortion) the Christians have a problem with this, no? But what this Christian just said seems that it COULD be ok if the woman was raped...since God still killed the child born from 'evil'...so do I have a point or could you come up with a counterpoint? Non-Christians please answer with our two cents as well.
