When you become as Jesus said in John 3:3 born again the Holy Spirit comes and moves into your heart, thats how the kingdom of God is within you., Jesus and the Father are in heaven but their Holy Spirit comes upon us and takes up residence in our hearts guiding us into all truth, The Holy Spirit has been around from the beginning, Genesis 1: verse 2, so this is not something new, now in order to get the Holy Spirit into your heart you must be born again, John 3:3, if you would like to be born again just say this prayer and a new begining shall be yours, just say, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Inside and outside. I understand the words translated "within you" can also mean "in your midst." And the word "kingdom" is a verb form -- an activity.

That verse appears this way in Thomas: "The Kingdom of God is spread out upon the earth, and people just don't see it."

I very much suspect Jesus experienced the living truth and knew it, in the language structures of his culture, to be the actively Divine presence.

Always already here.

Enlightenment, to you and me.

Exactly the divine exist inside each one else that believe in it and that's all for me...If you believe, you do what His religion teach you because you got knowledge about. If you don't have knowledge you never believe on divine (The kingdom of God).

The spirit of God is within you, its the spirit of God that leads you to inhabit the kingdom of God. The "divine" is what we are striving to acheieve, it is a goal so yes it is above us - that is why we are trying to reach it. if it wasnt the whole doctine of salvation, recieving Jesus to gain eternal live in heaven above, would not make any sense. ♥

The Holy Spirit can only come in, if you let Him in.

If you love and trust God, you will follow in His footsteps. If you turn away from Him, then He cannot come in your heart.

Ellen G. White explains this very well in "Thoughts From the Mount of Blessings".

He is talking to BELIEVERS. The Holy Spirit lives in us. That's no secret.
Jesus is God. God created us. Yes, there is a God who dwells in Heaven above. If you are going to quote scripture, please read the whole Bible first, and then don't take it out of context.

"In your midst" is a good translation, or "amongst you" too. We do better to leave it a little ambiguous; English can make ancient words seem more precise than they are. But I think the thing to realize is that "you" is plural. Yes it comes from within the person, but is found within the community. The Kingdom of God is found in Love. Love comes from within, but manifests itself in relationships.

Peace to you.

The 'Kingdom of Heaven', the 'Pure Land', Truth - whatever it is one may choose to call it is "at hand" or "within you" is right here, right now.

It is available now, and has always been available. All one need do is be open to it. Clear away the ego and it will become luminous.

This should apply to all beings, Christian, Buddhist, or otherwise.

Actually, in context and from reading the GREEK meaning of the words, the phrase should read "the Kingdom of God is AMONG YOU." Jesus was speaking to the Jews who were EXPECTING a long prophesied and promised Messiah to set up a Kingdom on the earth. He was telling them that the time had now arrived.

In those times , the Spirit of God came UPON people and then left them. It wasnt until Paul introduced the concept of Christianity that God promised to come and live within believers.

The key word being BELIEVERS. Every man is born without the Spirit of God. There are two kinds of people in the world today. Those who are still IN ADAM, and those who have believed God and are IN CHRIST. "Faith comes by hearing , and hearing by the Word of God" , the Bible tells us. So when you hear that Jesus Christ , who was God in the flesh, came to earth to die for YOUR sins, to be buried and then to RISE from the grave to reconcile you to a HOLY God, God takes your belief and places you IN HIS SON, where we are accepted on the basis of HIS performance on the Cross. He came to pay a debt He did not owe, for we who owed a debt we could not pay. This is called GRACE.

No one is born a christian. It is a decision one makes somewhere along the journey of life to take God at His Word and to become reconciled to God , KNOWING that He no longer holds our sins against us.

You may be asking: How does she know that this is what the verse means? I know because I have studied Gods Word and He tells us what the meanings are when we study the way He has told us to in 2 Tim 2:15.

The Kingdom of God is Among you was said by Jesus in His ministry while He was on the earth. He has told us that those words were "to the lost sheep of the House of Israel ALONE"

Paul is the apostle with the message to we who are believers today, as he was appointed by God Himself to give NEW instructions to the NEW Creation, which is none other than this entity to which we belong: the Body of Christ. Paul has the words of the RISEN Christ Jesus for we who are members of His Body today.

God is soooo good to include us in His plans and purposes if we will but study His Word as He prescribes. It takes away all the confusion and actually allows us to ENJOY Bible Study and getting to know Him better.

Thank you for your question..it was a good one.

That is only one passage regarding the Kingdom of God and must be considered with all the other passages, some of which indicate the Kingdom is a present reality, manifest in the realm of the spirit; but also a future promise which will be manifested in the establishment of Christ's Kingdom in the earth:

But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God."

Luke 10:9

Acts 8:12
But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

1 Corinthians 4:20
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.

1 Corinthians 6:9,10

nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 15:24
Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.

Ephesians 5:5
For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

2 Thessalonians 1:5
All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.

James 2:5
Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?

"The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:
"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ,
and he will reign for ever and ever." And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying:
"We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power
and have begun to reign.
The nations were angry; and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your saints and those who reverence your name,
both small and great—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth." "
Revelation 11:15-18
