It is truly shocking for us to hear this; but the Word of God says there is no longer any blessing of God upon those attending churches anywhere in the world. We have to understand this is why the great tribulation is so awful. The Bible declares that Satan is now the one receiving the worship in the churches:
For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the Comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed. (Lamentations 1:16)
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:8)

You're mixed up. Jesus said He would be with us always, even until the end of the earth. You seem to be equating the church and the world.

Wherever two or three who believe in Jesus are gathered together, He is there with them. It's a promise from Jesus Himself, and as He said in the Gospel of John, Jesus went to the Father so that He could send us the Holy Ghost - the comforter. So how can we doubt?

Now there are indeed some churches (whose congregations are hardly Christians) that have forsaken God and serve man made laws and believe in a lie: God's Spirit is certainly not with them. Yet, there are many Churches from various denominations that have true Christians and God's Spirit does dwell with them.

Isn't this supposed to happen, for many are called but a few a chosen.

May God bless all those who faithfully serve Him,
Andrew

God's Spirit cannot leave the church if you define it in Biblical terms, as the Body of Christ. Each member of this body is sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. If you are using the word church loosely to mean a building or an organization, which I do not advise, then you are right, it is possible. Still, there is some wheat among the tares and the Lord knows His own.

May the Lord bless you as you serve Him wherever you are.

What makes you think that 2007 is the time for which this was written? That's quite a leap to choose a passage written 2593 years ago and deciding it was intended for this particular year of human history. And it is equally foolish to take a passage that was written for an undertermined time in the future and do the same. You can't project your fears onto scripture and arbitrarily look at it without looking at all of it in context and historical perspective.

I am filled with daily blessings from God, and I am able to pour those blessings out on others in the church. I completely disagree with what you are saying. Maybe you need to find a church that isn't dead.

You have come to false conclusions based on false assumptions. Lamentations and Revelation are both books addressed TO and ABOUT the Nation Israel in Times PAST and Ages to Come.

That being stated, God in this present age of GRACE, which is the ONLY time that God has INDWELT His followers instead of coming UPON them for power, is the one time where His Spirit cannot leave. We are His BODY, and individual members of it if we believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ONLY means of our salvation in this age of GRACE. There is NO scripture that says anything about God EVER reversing that process. Once you are in the Body, you are SEALED with the Spirit of promise....just like a down payment on a house.

The Bible doesnt say the things that you are telling us it says: so you can EXPECT to be soundly challenged by those who study it the way God tells us to.

Know where YOUR mail is found , and where to find the current instructions for we who are Gods people in this present dispensation, and you wont be confused.

Your idea is off base and your use of scripture is out of context. It has nothing to do with the point you are attempting to make.

If the Lord's Spirit has left the Church, He has left the earth. If He has left the earth, evil would reign in a much greater way than we see - actually, it does not 'reign' at all. Your thinking is wrong. Your use of scripture is wrong.

Do you read any of the rest of your Bible, or are you just stuck on one stream of thought?

The Bible does not say that! That is a bunch of nonsense! That was only applicable to those times when Israel had strayed from the word of God and started worshipping idols. The churches of the world have not done that!

I'm sorry but you have it wrong. The Holy Spirit is in the church at least for the time being. I think that you are referring to the rapture which hasn't happened yet.

God's spirit will not strive with men forever but that does not give us the right to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. it edifies us to worship God with other beleivers. Hebrews 10:25
