I like the serenity prayer; I also like these:
Moderation in all things
What doesn't kill you will make you stronger
This too shall pass
Judge not lest ye be judged

Grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage
to change the things I cannot accept,
And the wisdom
to hide the bodies of those I had to kill today because they got on my nerves.
And also, help me to be careful of the toes I step on today,
as they may be connected to the feet I may have to kiss tomorrow.
Help me always to give 100% at work...
12% on Monday,
23% on Tuesday,
40% on Wednesday,
20% on Thursday
and 5% on Friday
And help me to remember...
When I'm having a bad day
and it seems that people are trying to wind me up,
it takes 42 muscles to frown,
28 to smile
and only 4 to extend my middle finger and tell them to bite me!
AMEN

The most inspirational words I have ever heard are the simplest too...
"Who Cares"
These two little words give me the ability to get through most every major and minor crisis in my life, without sheding a tear or breaking a sweat.
People spend way too much of their time freaking out about things that they have no control over, and can't change.
So... I say, "Who cares?" and move on with my life.
Also... if it's really really bad, I ask myself if it could possibly kill me. If the answer is no, then I go back to "Who cares?" if the answer is yes, then I feel free to start freaking out. :)

“If” by Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

When there's a will, there's a way.
Keep on pluggin'.
Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you.
Beware! Beware! lest ye offend any heart. (Sometimes I break this one.)
Do you need that? (I get tempted to shop too much, hehe.)
(speaking to self)
You are a masterpiece of God. Therefore, you are BEAUTIFUL.

"You've got to jump off cliffs all the time, and build your wings on the way down."
-or-
"People change so you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so you appreicate them when they're right. You believe lies so that you eventually learn to trust noone but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall together."

I don't live by it, but I think it's a good quote:
A woman's heart should be so lost in God that a man would need to seek Him to find her.

"It's all good, unless it's bad."
In other words, life is as good as I want to believe it is.
Whether something is good or bad ALWAYS depend on the perspective of the person making the judgment.
