Can you honestly say that two gay people in a loving and monogamous relationship are a "threat to civilization" and an abomination to God? Especially in light of the fact that gay people never chose to be gay and their actions harm nobody?

Homosexuality is not God's will for us. But He forgives if you ask forgiveness.

No not a "threat to civilization" but yes, an abomination to God. I'm not trying to be rude, but, you cannot seem to think for yourself. There is no real evidence that proves people are born this way. This "theory" has been shot down more times in the last couple of years than I can recount.
The study was done by a homosexual Doctor, on homosexual men.
Homosexuality is "the popular" thing now.

Bestiality may be next, and the same people who cannot think for themselves will be defending people having sex with animals.

How come all of a sudden we are seeing a great revival of homosexuality since the Roman era?
Evolution?
No, the media, Hollywood, European influences and the world governments pushing the agenda because of population control and various other reasons I'll not get into.

I can honestly say that it is an abomination to God. He is the same yesterday and today and forever. He doesn`t change.

I do NOT think you are a threat to anything. It is NOT you, that God is against. It is the ACT of homosexuality. You can not do what God intends for you when you waste your seed. We were told to be fruitful and multiply. Everything you do (sexually) goes against some of first commands he gave to us.

I know that you don`t understand, but it is , what it is. You have chosen this lifestyle and it comes with good and bad. Just like all lifestyles (that others choose) have good and bad. Why do you think that your lifestyle deserves merit more or equal to, than others? If you live whatever lifestyle you choose, you have to take the good and bad. Life is NOT perfect for anyone. NEVER will be.. It is unrealistic to expect a perfect life. It doesn`t exist..

Here we go again. ready for offensive argument?
1. Gays CHOOSE their lifestyle. Science has never 100% proven a "gene" to support this claim.
2. God says it is an abomination.
3. Gays are looking for "special rights." They have the same rights as everyone else. They are now looking for "better" rights where their agenda MUST be taught, not an option.
Also, if this legislation is passed, they will be able to force their way anywhere, claiming discrimination. Then the Christian churches will have a fight they may ultimately be pushed underground. Our freedom of speech and religion will be made moot.
4. It makes no difference what I say, God has the final say. Plead your case futily to Him. I guarantee you have nothing to stand on, since God made the rules and design.

Being gay is not a sin.

The real threat to our society is homophobia. As adults, we have the choice to be homophobic or not. We know it's wrong because it leads to harm, violence and even murder against our gay brothers and sisters. We know that Christ told us one of the most important commandments is to treat others as we want to be treated. ["In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets." (Matthew 7:12)] When we engage in behavior which harms others, or leads to harm to others, it is in direct conflict with Christ's commandment. Therefore, homophobia is a sin. Christ did not say we could ignore His commandment when it comes to gay people. If we think we can, it makes Christ a liar.

Those who are caught up in the anti-gay lifestyle must repent of their sins, and try not to do them again. Those who are proudly homophobic are not repentant of that sin. They continue living that lifestyle.

As a Christian, I do not think gays pose any threat to civilization. Homosexuality is a sin because God says it is. Murder is a sin because God says it is. Lying is a sin.........

If a person truly wants to be a Christian and please God, he should try to QUIT sinning. He will fail once in a while as every Christian does. But, if he does not TRY to quit sinning, it seems doubtful that his repentence is sincere. As a Christian I am constantly trying to live as God wants me to. That means avoiding sinning to the best of my ability.

If you are expecting so-called Christians to be capable of original thought you are sadly mistaken. Their thought process is like a checklist, "I should believe this is so and I should not believe in this". They have not reached a level of awareness that everyone does not believe in the same things they do and the same creative force that made them made everyone else. How can they profess to love a God they can't see if they discriminate and dislike people they can see ?

people arnt a threat to civilization. its the acts that people commit. nature is all about pro-creation. a homosexual couple can not pro-create. therefore..our civilization is in danger.

yes, the act of homosexuality is a sin against God. just like lying, killing, adultery and etc. God said that homosexuality was a perversion of the flesh. how could God create something and then call it a perversion? when God created Eve for Adam God said "it was good". i believe that it is a choice of the flesh and not from God. man created sin. God created man for woman and woman for man.

Well, the fact is that God said be fruitful and multiply. That is a commandment. 2 ppl of the same sex cannot multiply. Yes, I agree that most do not choose to be gay. You still have those few females who mess with other girls to impress a guy. But those that don't choose should not act on their feelings. They should stay single.

Be proud of who you are. God doesn't judge you for being gay- Yes in the Christian world is looked down upon.. But it DOESN'T make you an abandoment of God, & YOU can still get to heaven by being gay. It isn't a judge of your sexuality, it's your good deeds and service to the Lord. Don't let anyone tell you, you are a harm/threat to civilzation. Be proud to say your GAY! and who cares what everyone else thinks- in the end you only have to answer to God! and he doesn't pass judgement on you!

By threat to civilization maybe they mean because a gay couple can't reproduce and won't add to the population or maybe because of HIV. However the world is over-populated enough and I am pretty sure more HIV is spread through Africa by rapes committed by hetero males. Face it they are just scared and don't like the thought of the act of gay sex. I don't see why people need to get so worked up about another persons sexuality, it doesn't affect them so why try to change another person, if they want to believe a gay person is going to hell then thats fine but they should keep it to themselves instead of spreading their hatred and disgust. They just don't understand so hide behind the bible.
