Seriously people, why is it "Satan" having an influence on your life when you make a bad choice? Why do you need an excuse for your poor choices and bad behavior? Would it not be better to admit to yourself that the only reason you did something bad was because you chose to do it? No "Satanic" influence... just you making a poor decision. Wouldn't it be better this way, instead of playing the blame game and deferring to a supernatural influence?

According to the bible we are all descended from Adam and Eve.Therefore if we are all of the same family shouldn't we all have the same skin colour?
Or could it be that as man moved around this world and encountered different conditions, such as temperature, then over time we adapted or evolved to help us live in those conditions.
If you have another explanation I would be only to pleased to hear it.

I ask this, because one of the constant answers on R&S is "well he/she really wasn't really a Christian."

One other Question; Will Jim and Tammy go to the Christian Hell for preaching Christianity when they were not Chrisitans?

Okay, imagine the following:

You go up to heaven and see God, and he says, "No, no, no. You got it all wrong. You were supposed to..."

What would God be talking about? What thing would you (or mankind) have done wrong to make him so angry?

(disclaimer: Don't be dogmatic. Be original or you're not getting the point to the question. And don't say "I don't know" or "could be anything" because those aren't real answers.)

Or, "Why we fight".

Could it be because of poor souls, like this one: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkyD_nm8g4on6XoUkhOFRc7d7BR.?qid=20070719132355AAzi1AU

You can see she is working so hard to twist her mind to conform to the irrational and contradictory codes of an ancient superstition. There are people who actually suffer because of this. They need our help.

They need our help and not just our sarcastic criticism. I slip, and bash them too. But I shouldn't. There is real good we can do. There is a real problem here, and we have the cure.

I know, herding cat, but what do you think. Can we spread the light of reason.

Why am I having a problem with him talking to a fellow church member on myspace? I know he's doesn't have any feelings for her other than as a fellow church member. I guess my problem is that I feel like I'm competing with her for his time. We're having VBS this week and when I get home I call him to tell him what's happened that night. The he proceeds to tell me that the other person told him other things. WHY IS THIS SUCH A PROBLEM FOR ME?????

I just read an answer from a JW that in the Bible, Pharoah's cook was an innocent man, but he was put to death at a birthday party. I re-read the story, and I'm wondering why he would be considered an 'innocent' man, since Genesis 40:1 says that he was in prison already because he had committed a sin against Pharoah. Couldn't he have met the same fate, even if there was no birthday party, or if it was any other type of party?

Also, in reading the account, doesn't it seem that the "birthday" aspect of the party is totally irrelevant? If it had been an anniversary party with excessive drinking, etc., would Jehovah's Witnesses also take such a dim view of anniversary celebrations?

Just curious.

I have not received a Violation Notice in over twenty-four hours. Have I accidently offended the button pushers who made my day just a little brighter by causing them to ignore my questions? I am still a bible believing Christian, and still speak out against racism. I even said the pope caused unnecessary division with repeating what we already know, but had managed in spite of doctrinal differences to have some peace between Protestants an RCC. I had promised to try to be more diplomatic with my remarks and questions, but did I go too far?

He told me i was to become a great and powerful leader. I didnt believe him at first, i thought why me im just another average joe. But on my way to work i stopped at a gas station to fill up and standing at the pump across from me was that man. He spoke to me again telling me i should stop looking and start making it happen he told me i was given a gift of awnsers. Or parapalegics? Stay with me here. Most theists believe that God answers prayers, and that God answers prayers about healing people and does in fact heal people. So isn't it EXTREMELY ODD that God never, ever, grows someone's arm back, or reconnects a completely severed spinal cord? Or gives sight to a person who has always been blind?

I know there are old fairy tale stories of God doing awesome healing (even bringing long-dead people back to life) but there is NO EVIDENCE of that in reality. Isn't it odd that God cannot heal anyone beyond what medical science is capable of?

Jesus cast out various demons in order to heal the sick, which implies that the demons were causing the sickness in the first place. Therefore, shouldn't you believe that demons exist and cause diseases and ailments?

PS. Provide evidence, even Bible verses, to back up the claims you make. Just saying "I think this might have occured", isn't good enough.
