Haven't you heard? walmart specializes primarily in christian cult memorabilia..... you'll haveta go to target for your broom & hat. :-)

You can get a broom and hat at Wal-Mart, but you'll have to wait until it gets closer to Halloween. However, in some traditions a Witch is supposed to maker her/his first broom on her/his own. Most of the Witches I've seen just wear sun hats though or baseball caps.

They have specials at Wal-Mart once a year for the gear you need to become the type of witch you have in mind. I'm sure it'll work well with all the other costumes you have for all the other things you pretend like husband, father, employee, citizen, human, and even other religions.

Real witches don't dress like that anymore.
Real modern witches go totally naked.
All you have to do to qualify is go through a full day completely nude; work, lunch, commute, the whole time totally nude and at the end of the day, if you are not in jail or in the hospital, then you are officially a witch, (or is it a whatever?)

One doesn't really become a witch. You are one or not. Initiation and then progressing thru levels of the craft is the equivalent of education and professional recognition. The accessories are nice but not necessary ;-)

Actually, I'd suggest looking into a new-age book store. You can find a cool Wiccan spell book, then summon up your own flying broom.

I'd try being a grilled cheese sandwich first and move up from there.
Most witches I know are pretty impressive people.
