i don't mind people poking fun at my beliefs, as long as they're not rude - besides, the pagans i know are always poking fun at each other's beliefs, and it's ok. we're not as rigid as some faiths

I haven't heard of Witches making fun of other religions. I do know one Wiccan who was once berated by a pair of Mormons, so she holds a grudge against them, but I've only heard her complain - not really "make fun of" them. Most of the Witches I know give the respect to other religions that they would like in return. This is particularly true since they believe that if they do something bad, it will come back to them three-fold. Witches don't cast negative spells on people anyway.

Real practioners of 'witchcraft' will never mock another religion. Generally it is the trendy 'witches' that say they are such just for the title that you find mocking other people. Most magicians, magus and real witches will not mock because they are aware that their religion and experience with the Gods, Goddesses, and overall Spirit are very intune with other religions. You will find that even Voodou and Hoodoo have similarities, to mock another religion would be like mocking their own..
My best advice is that the assholes that say they are witches but turn around and mock someone else for their beliefs are just shitty people.

I hate to break it to you, but pagans tend to be the most relaxed about religion and have no problem with people joking about their beleif system. I know quite a few Wiccans and they are great people. It tends to be the other religions that can't take criticism, and that's probably because deep down they know that there is no way for them to defend their blind faith and reliance on ancient texts that contradict themselves.

Umm...Witches believe in religious tolerance more than others. Most wouldn't bother to waste their energy on a spell on you.

I haven't found that to be true. Those of us who practice alternative religions, such as paganism, voodoo, or wicca tend to NOT criticize others as we get tired of being criticized ourselves. We have more open minds when it comes to belief systems, and therefore are less judgemental.

My stepmother thinks magic is real and got onto her granddaughter, my niece, for reading Harry Potter. I thought, you're crazy and at least she's reading.
Magic..is not real.
