Okay, imagine the following:
You go up to heaven and see God, and he says, "No, no, no. You got it all wrong. You were supposed to..."
What would God be talking about? What thing would you (or mankind) have done wrong to make him so angry?
(disclaimer: Don't be dogmatic. Be original or you're not getting the point to the question. And don't say "I don't know" or "could be anything" because those aren't real answers.)

Uncle Meat: Good point...I just assumed it was a given that since I didn't specify it was your choice.

I suspect that when a person stands in front of God at the Judgment there really isn't going to be much to say.
I also suspect that standing before a Being Purer than pure Light, and that is Absolute Purity, one is going to fully realize how completely inadequate one is.
The problem is the Human Race has never come close to comprehending the complete seriousness of Sin. No matter how much He has told us.
The fact that He Himself had to physically come to earth and do something about it, should have given us a clue.
And what is going to turn the meeting into tragedy for most, is the full realization that He did provide a solution for our problem. But sadly, Pride prevents most from turning to it.
So you ask, "What thing would you (or mankind) have done wrong to make Him so angry?"
I know, and you know what that is. If you are honest and look into your own heart.

"You were supposed to eat cats and dogs and keep rats as pets that's why I made the later so like you and the former hate and love you. You were supposed to wear your underpants on your head so that everyone would keep each other laughing all day and not take anyone too seriously. You were supposed to help people for nothing and ask others for help at church not compete in avarice and displays of wealth. Now stop telling me that you still can't believe that the Earth is flat, did you really think NASA wasn't part of the same Hollywood guild that rewrote WW1 and 2?"

Here's how it goes.
Me and God are tight, see. So, what is wrong is: every other answer to this question. I already knew I would have the right answer because the answer is that I am right. God was saying everyone else is wrong.
I win.

just look around you. there is war, ignorance, dishonesty, fanatism, indifference, love for money but not love for man. it isnt that hard to figure out what went wrong. and so lond as we dont give the good the good exampla, and by that i dont mean being necessarily christian, and say "i wont save the world" then nonoone will know what on earth went wrong and things are the way they are.

God will say "Go away you sinner, because you never Really Loved me at all",
Sinner "Hows that God I read good books and went to Church, associated with good people..."
God will say' "When I was hungry, you did not feed me, when I was in prison you did not visit, when I was homeless, you did not invite me in..."
Sinner, "I never saw You on Earth in my lifetime to do that for You",
God, "If you did this to the least of these, you did it unto me".
That's where people get it wrong on Earth. Love is Practical*

I would say "That's really a shame, because I personally did the best I could do with the information I was given. You could have been a little clearer with what you wanted."

I would say that we people don't respect each others thought and arguments about anything, and that we are to egocentric to notice all the damage that we have caused to the planet and the animals that live in it.
If there is a higher being that is why it would be mad at us.
