and when i say God i meant the God who sent Jesus:

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.John 7:16

Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.John 7:28

Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me John 7:33

Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. John 8:42

so dear christians, when will you praise God (the one who sent him) more than you praise Jesus? when will you thank God more than you thank Jesus?

Since we are made in God's image, both male and female (Genesis 1:27), wouldn't that make your God the Father a little weird looking at best and downright perverse at worst? And if God the Father has a body, then wouldn't that make the virgin Mary, not really a virgin when she conceived because God the Father seduced her? Or else God the Father wouldn't be the father of Jesus Christ.

My understanding of being made in God's image is that He has certain qualities in Him that men and women have. Men show parts of God's image and women show the other parts, when we are not sinning.

To "Tan Man" and "Cheese and Rice".

I hate to be mean, but don't they deserve it sometimes? they come up with some absurd questions sometimes and I believe that they are the same person. Why spending so much time in something they hate?

The point is: Do you think that they are the same person?

There is a Christian retreat coming up for homeless women. I was asked to write letters to them; words of hope and of God's love. Does anyone have some suggestians as to what I should write in these? Please pray for me, that His words will come to me to be put on paper, and even more that when these women read them that it will touch their hearts. Thank you so much!

OK you know how god sends bad people to the devil, supposing they are real. Wouldn't the devil be considered good for helping god kill/ punish bad people. How is the devil evil.

Let's say a man went to God and said "I don't need you anymore, I have learned to create life." God said. "Really? Show me."
So the man picked up a handful of dirt, but God said, "Wait a minute... get your own dirt!"

If I don't have a past life, demonic possession, an elemental affiliation, an astrological sign, or satanic influence to blame for my general jackassery -- then what do I do?

I help to choose the music at my my church: What songs help you connect spiritually? Do you think you are more progressive or more conservative? How old are you?

(I am purposely not stating a denomination - I would like to hear a wide variety of serious responses)

Thanks!

6 yrs I have being seeking for G-d.....I never found Jesus....I only found the G-d of Isreal.......I guess I have all the right's to put down Jesus and stand as a Jew. Its weird really 1 month ago I loved Jesus with all my heart.......now I look at my seek and I study it......I only found the G-d of Isreal. No wonder all this evil I was experianceing...it was because I was searching for Jesus....and G-d said my name is not Jesus, and you do not know my name. He said that 3 yrs ago.....I kept Jesus with me....and G-d has been ever silent. All I found was demons and more demons......Now I walk as a Jew (well I have a lot to learn)

Where is Jesus? what have you found in your seek?

did you find *feelings* to show that Jesus lives?

or did you find a adible voice that he lives?

15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves.
16 By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

17 Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
20
So by their fruits you will know them.

When it is speaking of FALSE PROPHETS and not christians.

Ever noticed that people seem to beleive in a God that fits what they personally want. When people ask "what would Jesus do?" they always will answer with what they would do. Becaus God's values seem to always be the same as whatever society's values are at a given time.

Isn't it possible that God might not look, talk, act, ect... like us?

It wasn't. The very basic tenant of the US, is the rights of the individual. Our founding fathers were very clear about NOT mixing Government and Religion. Many of our fore fathers were not Christian, and even the Christian ones clearly understood the danger of religion.
Things like "In god we trust" and "under god" are very recent additions and have no place in a SECULAR government.
Take some time and read the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. There is no mention of god at all.

Seems like a lot of muslims are against him, but when I question them, none of them knew why they hated him. All they said was that he wrote a book that insulted the prophet. When I asked if they had read the book, none of them did. What's worst is that some of them don't even know the book title that supposedly "insulted the prophet".
