Nothing! People just don't want to humble themselves and give up their pet sin.

Most Satanists do not actually worship Satan, they use him as a symbol. I think that most Satanists are drawn to Satanism out of rebellion, and they also find its emphasis on the individual, rather than on God, appealing. While I am not a Satanist, I find it interesting and admirable that the worst sin that can be committed within Satanism is stupidity. Avoidance of the other sins that Anton LaVey named (including self-deceit and herd conformity) may lead to the ability to think critically. The traits outlined in the nine Satanic statements, such as vengeance, indulgence, and kindness only to those who deserve it, are likely to appeal to teenagers who feel excluded from their peers.

Many Satanists stop practicing the religion as they grow up, turning to other religions, or no religion, instead. This could be due to a need to conform, as most adults are offended by Satanism or see it as a sign of immaturity.

I must repeat, I am not a Satanist, rather, I am an atheist and I do not believe in any religion. But I think that this is a relatively accurate explanation of what some people find appealing about Satanism. The link below might help you learn more.

After you've been trying to have a rational conversation with a christian for a few hours, it's amazing how appealing Hell starts to become.

God isn't there. Sorry, I couldn't resist that one. Both concepts are the products of people's over-active imagination.

Its non-existence makes it an appealing way to tell Christians to f*** off

Example

Christian:
"Hey buddy you know you're going to hell right?"

Me:
"f*** off"
