Since we are made in God's image, both male and female (Genesis 1:27), wouldn't that make your God the Father a little weird looking at best and downright perverse at worst? And if God the Father has a body, then wouldn't that make the virgin Mary, not really a virgin when she conceived because God the Father seduced her? Or else God the Father wouldn't be the father of Jesus Christ.

My understanding of being made in God's image is that He has certain qualities in Him that men and women have. Men show parts of God's image and women show the other parts, when we are not sinning.

It seems you have not understood the scriptures, by Jesus Christ own word:

8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
(New Testament | John 14:8 - 9)

and you have twisted the word meant by "image." Image imply visual, not an imagination, not interpretational representation. And where is your reference to your meaning of image? I have mine by what Christ said above.

Concerning the birth of Christ, again you make up your own idea, our scripture clearly stated Christ's birth was by the power of the holy Ghost

10 And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God.
(Book of Mormon | Alma 7:10)

It mention nothing of seduction or any physical contact. where is your scriptural reference? Or do you just like to lie and make up stuff as you go along?

Last word, Why would you think "Father " look weird?
Do you think human look ungly and weird? Since we are the children of God. Do you have something against humans?

We are made in the image of the Father. That can mean many different things. Since Image itself implies a likeness of both physical and mental qualities, I would assume the scripture means both. Is that taking the scripture to literally? Who knows! Does it really matter? Does it make God less that He could have an exalted, perfected body? I don't think so. I means He understands more of what we go through.

As far as Mary goes, it WAS a virgin birth, conception and everything in between. We don't know how God did this. It probably was an advanced method of science that we don't understand. Since we do know that the Holy Spirit was involved, I'm guess- THIS IS JUST A GUESS, NOT DOCTRINE!!- that the Holy Spirit was used to change molecules in her body to make the male aspect of creation, then pregnancy occured. That doesn't mean that sex had to happen. God knows more about science, anatomy and physiology then we do. I'm sure He could make it happen if He wanted to without any more then a thought!

Since we don't know for sure, and can only speculate about it, we won't know until after death how it was done. I don't understand why this would upset anyone. Our understanding of the nature of God has always been an issue, even back in the 3rd and 4th centuries. That's why the counsel was called in the first place. So is it really a surprise that even today there would be debate over what God is?

It would probably help to study Hebrew. See one link below. In my opinion, men are made in the image of Heavenly Father. Women are made in the image of Heavenly Mother. We do not have any more information about her other than that.
As for the manner in which Jesus Christ was conceived by Mary, it is my opinion that we are not told certain details 1) Because there are certain standards of modesty and 2) It was a process that would not have been comprehensible to anyone in the ancient world. I believe Mary was a virgin both before and after the conception process, because Joseph was told not to "know" her until after Jesus Christ was born (Matthew 1:25). Whether it was an advanced form of artificial insemination or not has never been revealed in detail to anyone on earth, to the best of my knowledge. Since anything else is just guessing, I will simply say that in 1 Nephi 11 in the Book of Mormon, the prophet Nephi refers to Mary as a virgin both before and after Christ's birth. If that is Nephi's terminology, there is a reason for it, and that is simply that Mary was a virgin both before and after the entire conception process. Guess we'll have to wait until the Second Coming to get more details, if someone wants to ask.

Whatever they wish John 10:34 to say, it does not support their position. The Mormon can only say he hopes to become a god. Psalm 82 and John 10:34 are in the present tense, a distinction apart from their position. In fact, upon a reading of Psalm 82, it is wonder that Mormons would want to identify with the psalm at all. It says nothing good about these men. But if that is the position they desire, only the judgment of God follows.
Furthermore, the Mormon should be made aware that LDS Apostle James Talmage correctly identified the “gods” of psalm 82 and john 10:34 when he wrote, “Divinely appointed judges Called ‘gods.’ In Psalm 82:6, judges invested by divine appointment are called ‘gods.’ To this Scripture the Savior referred in His reply to the Jews in Solomon’s Porch. Judges so authorized officiated as the representatives of God and are honored by the exalted title ‘god.’” (Jesus the Christ, 501).

God the Father like the Son Jesus Christ have a glorified exalted body of Flesh and bone.

As for your question did God the Father seduce Mary?
Only antimormons think that of Mormons. Lds doctrine
believes in the virgin birth. Antimormons read some comment by Bruce McConkie and it comes out sex was involved. Wrong...Mary didn't have sex with anybody...The power of God the father (not sexually) conceived an egg of Mary's by his omnipotent power.

As for body parts...if you want to think of God's parts...well have fun.

God the father has a body of flesh and bones, as tangible as man's. Jesus Christ likewise has a tangible body, ie he demonstrated that repeatedly by appearing to many after his resurrection and allowing them to "feel" the prints in his hands and in his side.

Exactly how the conception with Mary occurred, I do not know. Nor is it explained in the scriptures. To call it a "seduction," however, would be inappropriate as God does not do anything to force himself upon someone. Everything about the Gospel is due to allow our free will to be exercised.

"Biblical truth has always been..." Since you decided what was truth?? God the Father has a body of flesh and bone, as does Christ. Joseph Smith saw them both, Christ standing on the right hand of God. Clearly, you believe "God" and "Christ" are the same person... but, they are not. They are united in purpose and love, but not the same being. One clear example of this is when Christ is baptized. Christ, on the earth is there obviously in physical form. From heaven, God the Father's voice is heard, stating "Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" Clearly, Christ is not speaking of himself here, nor even speaking, but being spoken of by His Father. And then the last is the Holy Ghost decending upon Christ in the form of a dove. 3 beings, separate from one another, but united in the Godhead.

I do beleive that we do have a Heavenly Mother. No, I have no proof. The word "image" means a physical likeness or representation of a person, animal, or thing, photographed, painted, sculptured, or otherwise made visible. If we don't actually LQQK like Him, then why was the word "image" used? So, either the word "image" is the correct word and we DO look like our Heavenly Father (and Mother), or the Bible is...dare I say it?...mistaken! (wrong)
