To "Tan Man" and "Cheese and Rice".

I hate to be mean, but don't they deserve it sometimes? they come up with some absurd questions sometimes and I believe that they are the same person. Why spending so much time in something they hate?

The point is: Do you think that they are the same person?

I have an observation about some of these antis...

Mr. Peepers: Very cynical. While knoweldgeable, his rants are all peppered with a great deal of bitterness. Likely excommunicated over something he felt was "unfair".

Cheese and Rice: A total beavis. Occasionally says something which might be somehow based in fact, but is mostly on here to "stir the pot". Very little substance behind the b.s. An ex-Mormon, but most probably left the Church in a huff after someone insulted his cat.

TAN MAN: Bitter. Hugely bitter. Whole new meaning of the word bitter. Doubtful that he was ever a Mormon, but hates Mormons with such a passion that it's actually frightening. This is the kind of guy that murdered the prophet. Very worthy of being Blocked.

EDIT:
Well, you have it from the Cheese man himself. I don't know why he doesn't change his name from "Cheese and Rice" to "Cheese and WHINE"!

It's important to remember that sometimes those kinds of people are just here to be annoying (so in a somewhat connected comment, directed towards your last question, I don't think it really matters if two usernames are used by the same person or not; if they're going to run around posting anti-Mormon stuff, it doesn't really matter if they use 1 account or 50, in my humble opinion).

Yeah, sometimes when people post "questions" it's obvious they're just doing it to be obnoxious. But it's also important to remember that there are a lot of other rumors out there that some people actually think are true about the Mormon Church, and that their comments only seem strange to the rest of us because we're more familiar with the Church (think of all the people who keep insisting that the Church owns the Coca-Cola company, even though that's long since been disproven by people both inside and outside the Church).

The only reason I can think of as to why those who knowingly post crazy "questions" and comments about the Church is that they're just doing it to get us all riled up. The more we get peeved off in public, the more they can sit back and say, "See? I was right about the Mormons being lying brainwashed cultists!"

This isn't to say that we can't respond directly to specific incorrect statements made about our beliefs (hey, anyone who's followed my answers in the R&S section know I've done that on several occasions myself, so I'm hardly one to complain about anyone else doing it). But we should also not stoop to the level of snarky people when doing so, because that doesn't really accomplish anything (well, anything useful, anyway), even if they do deserve it (the people who honestly want to know about our beliefs - even if they don't agree with them - already know those kinds of people are schmucks, and the people who don't give a rat's patooie about what we believe or why we believe it...well, why waste time with them?).

Cheese and rice has I think 5 accounts that I've noticed. But he's definitely not the same person as TAN MAN.

And I honestly doubt they care if you are overly rude and defensive sometimes, they probably just think it's funny.

The best way to defeat an "Anti Mormon" is to ignore them. If people stop responding to them, they get bored and leave.

Remember how Joseph Smith at age 14 was persecuted and ridiculed for telling leaders of other faiths that he had seen a vision of God and Jesus Christ? It's the same thing. You would think that people would be open to something so wonderful, but instead they ridicule.

Read your Book of Mormon. Remember the passage that says, "A bible, a bible, we have a bible." That is only telling the ancient Americans how so many people would reject the writings of the Book of Mormon and would claim that is was false. Those of us who have read it and followed the promises made that if we pray and ask for the truth that we would know it. Both Moroni and James (New Testament) has told us this.

Also, A Marvelous Work and a Wonder by LeGrand Richards is an excellent book explaining all this in more detail. I have 3 copies and would be happy to send you one. Just e-mail me.

I personally pray for people like those you are mentioning. Just remember that it is their choice to believe or reject the truth and the word of God.

TAN MAN is actually TAN MAN's teen age child (not sure if it's boy or girl, but I'm betting boy). TAN's undergone a change, I guess dad put the fear of God into him or something. Got a little ways to go, but at least he's starting to treat us Mormons as more human.

I don't know abouat the others. Still trying to figure out peepes, but youmay be right about him.

I have no idea if they are the same person or not, all I know is what Cheese and Rice does on these questions is what we call "trolling" in the newsgroups...Whatever! Some people have nothing better to do than to try to get negative attention...says a lot about their childhood doesn't it?

No go right ahead and let the steam out.

No...they are different

Cheese and rice used to be pay lay ale last week and used
other names before.

Tan Man has a fetish about the Mountain Meadows Massacre.

Well, Free 2B Fearless and Fotomania have 'banned" me from responding to their respective posts, and several of you have graciously appointed yourselves as "analysts". Your comments have been noted, and I can relate to your assumptions, except I expected you to be less critical and more 'mormony'. Since I used to 'dine at the same table', I understand exactly why you feel that if anyone leaves and is critical of the church, it must stem from some awful sin, offense or other reactive conditions.

Anyway, there's plenty more to say about this, but there's villages to plunder and women to burn.

And here all this time, I thought that the "tan man" was a total D*CK. I can't believe that you think that I am the Tan Man. Totally false doctrine.

Also, I have 1 (one) countem on one finger account. Yes, I have changed my name a couple times. It was Pay Lay Ale, Joe Mishunary, and God. But it was only for good -- my final name had not been revealed to me yet - so I kept changing it with each revelation. I'm sure you understand, since that is how a lot of your Mormon doctrine comes to pass.

I guess you just have to take a lot of the questions here with a grain of salt. A lot of people aren't looking for real answers. They are either looking for attention, or just trying to generate hateful answers. There's no trying to change their mind. They've got their minds made up. I normally ignore those kind of questions but when I do answer them, I try to respond nicely. It drives the questioner crazy because he didn't rile me up like he wanted to.
