It cant be convincingly explained. People who are not Christians stumble here because they request the leap of faith (science will work it out) that they deride in Christians. The fact is, in my opinion, that there is a level of understanding beyond human. We will never understand, we are unable to. The Bible is God talking to us from that level of understanding in terms we can understand. That is Faith underpinned with logic.

What do you think of this?

"K. S. RAMAKRISHNA RAO, an Indian Professor of Philosophy in his booklet, ("Muhammad, The Prophet of Islam,") calls him the

"Perfect model for human life."

Prof. Ramakrishna Rao explains his point by saying:

"The personality of Muhammad, it is most difficult to get into the whole truth of it. Only a glimpse of it I can catch. What a dramatic succession of picturesque scenes! There is Muhammad, the Prophet. There is Muhammad, the Warrior; Muhammad, the Businessman; Muhammad, the Statesman; Muhammad, the Orator; Muhammad, the Reformer; Muhammad, the Refuge of Orphans; Muhammad, the Protector of Slaves; Muhammad, the Emancipator of Women; Muhammad, the Judge; Muhammad, the Saint. All in all these magnificent roles, in all these departments of human activities, he is alike a hero.""

Why NIV (New International version) of bible censored. Countless verses thrown from bible?
Several readers have asked me this question so I thought it worthwhile to include my response here. Please note that these are only WHOLE verses that the NIV deletes. This list does not include the many words and phrases that were completely deleted from the NIV--it deletes over 64,000 words including words like mercyseat, Jehovah, and Godhead. It removes meaningful, well-known Bible words like Calvary, Lucifer, new testament, regeneration, etc. Most of the modern Bibles line up very closely with the NIV--and so does the New World Translation--the Bible of the Jehovah's Witnesses which predates the NIV!
When you read below where I say that a verse is COMPLETELY deleted, I mean clean/bald-headed/gone/vanished deleted. For instance, if you search for Acts 8:37 in the NIV you will read,
36As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why sho

I honestly don't think an invisible man in the sky even comes close to a topic that can be debatable. Why do some people not only accept, but embrace faulty dogma throughout their lives that many points of which have been proven false? People stop believing in the tooth fairy and easter bunny, why not god? The universe had to begin somewhere - there couldn't have been a god before nothing... and since there is no evidence of there being anything resembling a god anyway, why couldn't it have began with the big bang? I fail to see any sofr ot logic behind this.

What do you think of this author who rated Muhammad (PBUH) as the top?

"MICHAEL H. HART in his recently published book on ratings of men who contributed towards the benefit and upliftment of mankind writes:

"My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels."
(M.H. Hart, THE 100: A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY, New York, 1978, p. 33)"

Atheist fight to prove there is nothing after death. But if that is correct that means in the end we turn out to be nothing more then a little pile of garbage. Why struggle then? It's dump. Why should I ever try to consider intelligence in a future garbage? Just so I may be proud I chose to follow the way of the garbage? That's not evolved thinking at all.

As far as my knowledge is concern, no religion permits for such acts like living together without marriage of have kids from it, Drinking, Adultery, Homosexuality etc. Adopting un-natural way of living might lead humanity towards animality."I hope most of you have seen Plant of the Apes ;) "

I personally say yes, and so do historians and others in various fields of practice. What do you think judging from the quote?

"In the words of PROF. HURGRONJE:

"The league of nations founded by the prophet of Islam put the principle of international unity and human brotherhood on such universal foundations as to show candle to other nations." He continues: "The fact is that no nation of the world can show a parallel to what Islam has done towards the realization of the idea of the League of Nations.""

It seems to be since modern media and modern communication technology came on the scene, religious people just don't seem to get the same amount of respect that they had for centuries. If religions deny that they thrive on ignorance, then why does freedom of information seem to weaken religion?

I know this question has been thrown out there a bit. I'm a theist and I definitely believe there is absolute truth. If you answer no, that there is no absolute truth, then I must further ask if that is an absolutely true statement. I would love to hear opinions out there to this profound question.

I would conjure you to notice that absolute truth is not relative. Something that is relative is not absolute. You may say it's hot outside and I may say it's merely warm. This type of sensational relativity is not the same as absolute truth, so therefore not a good argument or resolution to the question.

If you say that absolute truth is relative to the individual then again, it's not an absolute truth. Absolute truth is either true or not. You see, 2+2=4, even if you want it to equal 5 to fit your lifestyle better.

Thanks...

It is quite obvious that R&S is a debate between religious groups and atheists as to who is correct in their beliefs. I am noticing that more and more, religious people are retorting with answers like "It's apparent that you've already made up your mind on this subject so there is no point in answering you" when faced with an argument against their beliefs. Some are even avoiding the question by quoting irrelevant extracts from the Bible. Some more are even retorting with ineffective threats such as "You'll go to Hell if you continue to question God's will". With more and more religious people being able to give less and less answers to arguments against their beliefs, could it be said that atheists are "winning the battle of R&S"?

What are you thinking as you read it? I think it is worth taking a look at because it comes from unbiased sources.

"EDWARD GIBBON and SIMON OCKLEY speaking on the profession of Islam write:

"'I BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, AND MAHOMET, AN APOSTLE OF GOD' is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. The intellectual image of the Deity has never been degraded by any visible idol; the honor of the Prophet has never transgressed the measure of human virtues; and his living precepts have restrained the gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion."
(HISTORY OF THE SARACEN EMPIRES, London, 1870, p. 54)"

Heaven is better than anything on earth, or indeed better than anything someone on earth can imagine. So wouldn't the most charitable act possible be to make sure they are saved, and then kill them?

For such a small horn, they boast some really great things.

Face it what comfort do you have for the dying? Sorry, no afterlife. What hope do you have for the despairing? I cant help you with how you feel, but we can give you some mind altering medication. What purpose can you offer mankind?
Maybe we will evolve regressively into monkeys, sorry I mean common ancestor of monkeys, or hey we might become birds. No hope, no light, no purpose----atheism. What a fun club to be in. And without God---you have no truth and follow a lie. Like it or not you have bought the lie.
And in your arrogance you deny the God who created you. Agree or not?
