Most of you are so FUUNNNY.
It is a straight forward question, not a hate filled question.
Atheists claim that there is no afterlife and of course, they feel pain and sorrow like everyone else but, what is it that say happens when we die? "Fertilizer" is the only choice, right?

Markyyy, my friend,
this is not meant to be offensive in any way. It is a straight forward question. Atheists are always saying that people "just die", "they cease to exist", and so.......what becomes of them? Either the answer is nothing or fertilizer, not many options.

People, people you are all so funny and are very good at missing the point.

Of course, all people are sad when someone dies. all people miss those that die. All people say things like, I love you. and such.

Atheists say there is nothing there, so why say "rest in peace" and at the same time say there is nothing there? They won't be resting according to atheists, they will just be dead.

I am assuming you say "I hope you enjoy hell" to everyone who doesn't believe like you?

The one kind of person who would say such a think would have to be utterly despicable. And religion or lack thereof doesn't matter. There are horrible people coming from every race, every religion. So are you one of them? I just feel sorry for all the Christians who think they're getting into heaven, but are as mean as they can be. I'm not an atheist, but I can tell the difference between a so-called Christian and someone "worthy enough" to pass the Pearly Gates. And I believe that Christianity has been reduced to a name.

I really wonder what prompted this question. You protest that you're just asking, because it seems logical to you that atheists accept that when we die, we just rot.

But you don't, surely, believe that any sane individual would say such a thing to a dying friend - UNLESS the friend was easy about the whole thing - do you?

I mean, *you* wouldn't say to a friend of yours who was about to take a plane flight, "In case you get hijacked - nice knowing ya!" - unless, again, that person was easygoing about such things.

A dying atheist will not, of course, be under the impression that he's about to go see all his dead friends. He'll know that his life, and his existence, is about to end. He may well be somewhere between sad and terrified about that. All animals are instinctively scared of death - even if they have no idea what it is - because that fear may save their lives in some cases.

So, tell me - do you think it's considerate to bring up frightening scenarios to someone who's in fear? Would you chat breezily to your air-traveller friend about plane crashes, or terrorism?

I suspect you would not. Why do you think an atheist would?

Or are you, as everyone suspects, simply making a sick wisecrack hoping to score points - a wisecrack that is quite obviously based on a silly, vicious and incorrect premise?

No,would you say that to a friend?Would Jesus have posted that question?Did the "holy spirit"guide you on that? So,basically, you are saying you are a fluttering wimp, terrified of death, who would rather live a lie than accept that you,yes you,are going to die?Get over it,you live, then you die. Are you jealous because atheists can handle that notion but you can't. Your wishing for the emerald city isn't going to make it more real. If you are going to be Christian,at least fake it well enough. Would Jesus have asked that question. Do you consider yourself a representative of Christ? How sad

of course not, ha, well at least i should make good fertiliser -eh im english note the spelling, anywhale, no its more than that, i get to complete the nitrogen cycle, or better yet, I'll be rich enough to be Hypocrygenically frozen and hope to be revived some time and be able to tell ya'll that religion is shyte stop praying nothing happens to you, gah. my grandfather died when I was 7 its painful but i know I'll never get to know him, we won't meet up in magical pixie land, and i can accept it, can you accept something like that?

also i think your question is retarded and you could work out the answer is no with out costing yourself 5 points, but then i think your just trying to annoy us arn't you?

some ambassedor of christ you make buddy, lets all become christian and ask hateful questions, does god aprove of insulting people over the internet? how would you know, God isn't going to tell you what to do with the internet is he? oh dear. mind you, you wouldn't even be able to write that question with out atheists to provide computers would you?

If this kind of question is typical of you, you are far worse than the atheists. At least they have enough courage to admit to themselves and others that they do not believe. Fake Christians that ask mean and sarcastic questions drive many away from the faith by making Christianity seem like a bad influence. Not much of a reward awaits those kind I would say.

I would try to be more loving than you are being if I were an atheist saying good bye to a loved one. Think about what you're doing. Are you letting people know you are a Christian by your actions? I know we all make mistakes so try harder to control your anger toward those who may soon be persecuting us far worse than with these petty words. This is a good place to practice love for our enemies.

we say our last good byes and realize that this is the last time we will ever be around each other, instead of pretending that we will see each other again we the other person dies. we are grounded in reality you see? and by the way you seem to me like a very compassionate christian in the way you phrased this question, Jesus would be proud of the way you insulted all these heathens on the Internet.

"I'll miss you terribly."
"I will always remember you, and my memories of you will be good ones."
"You're a good person."
"I love and respect you."
"Goodbye."

People leave legacies behind, whether it's children, grandchildren, things they've written, built, whatever. I'd rather read Shakespeare's words now than imagine him in Heaven. I know the words exist. The same cannot be said of Heaven.

That's kind of the whole point. We live our lives, and we try to leave the world a better place for us having been there. Human beings are strong enough, and smart enough, to cope with death, they don't need to tell themselves fairy tales about anything happening after death.

If someone does nothing more than become "good fertilizer" after they die, they will at least leave a positive impact on the world.

Which is more than I can say for your impersonation of living fertilizer.

Steve, asking this question is a damage to christianhood..
The message of GOD is love.. what are you learning ?
Are you sure with this attitude you deserve God's love?
You need to learn more about the message of the cross..

Please don't say you're a christian....you won't make
a good example.. .
God is love .. God loves the whole world.. which means
everyone of us.. atheist? yes God loves them,, it's just a
painful truth that they don't really know about or maybe
refuse to believe it..

In my church, there was a woman who used to be
an atheist,, who knows nothing and believes nothing
about God..but right now, she testifies to everyone
she meets about the greatness of God, how thankful
she is to know Him and have a relationship with Him,
we do street ministry every other Sat of the month..she
is great,..
