....are obsessed with evolution in the same way creationists obsess about their own little creation story. I find the term "evolutionist" or "darwinist" hilarious. This would suggest that people who accept evolution think about evolution all day and that their lives revolve around it.

I also accept that the laws of gravity are true but I don't spend all day obsessing about how I am right to accept the laws of gravity orany other scientific explanations of the world around us.

Am I also a "gravityist" for accepting the laws of gravity.

Creationists, please realise that evolution is not really a big deal to most people, it's just another scientific truth among thousands of others.

It only seems to be those loony creationist people who obsess about it.

Anyway I have go attent a newtonion gravitationalist meeting now.

(John 5:28-29) 28 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

Does this sound like to you that those who die are resting in the grave awaiting a resurrection?

One song can spark a moment.
One flower can wake a dream.
One tree can start a forrest.
One bird can herald spring.
One smile begins a friendship.
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea.
One word can frame a goal.
One vote can change a nation.
One sunbeam light's a room.
One candle wipe's out darkness.
One laugh will conquer gloom.
One step must start each journey.
One word must open a prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits.
One touch can show we care.
One voice can speak wisdom.
One heart know's what is true.
One life given to make a change.
and that One life can make a difference.
One cross,One blood shed. One christ, One father.

"one" you see,it's up to you!

Exuse my spelling, it's 7am, and those of you who know me, Know I'm an insomniac. Anyway, moving on.

In Christianity, the 'One True God" is ...well, the Judeo-Christian one. Of course you take pride in believing you are aware of the most omnipowerful being in (or outside of) existance. But Christians, fathom this;

Say you were born into a muslim family, raised on muslim beliefes. Would you not then believe Allah was the one true God? In this respect, How, exactly can you be so sure of yourself, KNOWING you would be equally sure of yourself if you had been born into a different religion?

-Hence, The Atheist.

Thoughts, before I pass out?

On the 19th of May this year I woke up at 8am in the morning and behold, standing on the right hand side of my bed in my room was a bright and colourful angel who was looking down at me. He had short blond hairt and I felt very calm and peacful. I have asked God many times before I go to sleep to put angels around my bed, and I have even asked awhile ago to God if I could see one. Jesus told me two weeks ago that was his angel and that he had given instructions to him to be with me everywhere I go. Jesus is the best, besides the Father. So christians have you had an angel encounter from God.I have been getting a lot of demonic things happen to me at night, so God has now placed angels around my bed and they do not touch me anymore to harras me.

"The Thief on the Cross" Is Baptism nessary?

http://www.trustingodamerica.com/thief.h...

When asked about if Baptism is nessary for Salvation, many refer to Luke 23:39‑43, which talks about the Thief on the Cross, They say "The Thief wasn't baptised so its not nessacary".

Truth is, You cannot be 100% sure the Theif wasn't baptised.

The robber (Gk. lestes, a robber - Matthew 27:38, 44, not thief, kleptes) to whom Jesus said, "...Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with Me in paradise" (Luke 23:43) was not just a common criminal. The man had honesty and courage as seen in his rebuke of the other robber, he appeared to fear God, acknowledged his guilt, accepted his deserved punishment, showed respect for Jesus, defended Jesus' innocence, and had some knowledge of Jesus' kingdom (Luke 23:40-42). This man was certainly not an impenitent sinner expecting death bed salvation, as he is sometimes portrayed!

When i got saved by Christ over 6 weeks ago it totally changed my life for the better. New opportunities have poured in, my life is so much easier and better in quality now. A real blessing.

I understand pre-marital sex is not permitted with the faith, but is holding hands, touching and kissing also included? Or is this not allowed as it is the "lust of the flesh"?

My Pentecostal Church advises that it isn't, and if you go out with a girl you should go in a group to avoid any physical intimacy. Holding hands isn't tolerated. There have been a case where a couple in love only kissed for the first time they were at the wedding altar.

My fear is that in today's modern world, cases like that do not happen. I don't think i could get a girl to marry me without ever really touching me, holding hands to say the least. It feels like a niche for people to be able to get married following those rules.

This is where i find spiritual warfare. What is your take?

the violence in a particular country as christian violence or hindu violence but do they not see that it is not mandated in their scriptures to kill people of other religion where as in islam it DOES ask believers to kill FOR islam! There is a difference between self defence and religious aggression! Are others not even allowed to defend themselves against muslim aggression and should sit still while the muslim cuts off his head because secularism guarantees the muslim to believe he has a right to do so?

and when I say soon I am very serious. How many of you are living like this. Thinking "Jesus probablly willnot return in this life time so I will do as I please". How many of you our there in yahoo land are living like that? Well I hate to tell you this, but If Jesus was to return tonight you would be left behind will all of the unbelivers. Jesus has showed to many people that many chrisitians will be left behind, will you be one of them, if not why not? Yeshua has already shown me in a supernatural way that I will not be left. I am ready and waiting for Jesus. The signs of prophecy are upon us and are increasing. Yes the tribulation is around the corner, but I am more interested in the soon return. I belive more chrisitans will be lieft than taken. Jesus said the road to life is narrow and a few be that find it, and broad is the way to destrucion and many people will travel down that road. My focus is being ready. forgiving everbody, asking for forgivness everyday, spend time with

They provide a service and receive payment and they have their hands in the political system. If they want to do that, they can pay like the rest of us. I'm sure that it wouldn't be much of a burden and they probably would be tax exemptions for some stuff. I'm sure their political buddies can help with that.

Does not a 3 million dollar church work exactly like a 300 thousand dollar one? Does that 200ft. crucifix have to be seen from the space station or do the stained glass windows have
to go from floor to ceiling?

I might be missing the boat on this one. I'm tired and cranky. But at least I have an open mind enough to suggest that I could be wrong.

I've read this one a few times here, and just got it in an answer to a previous question. The guy said :
"Irrefutable evidences:
1. Jesus is real, and resurrected - else the hundreds of followers would have not died for lies. ............."

And then he went on with a couple of other equally logical points.

For those who believe that point as evidence, would that not prove ALL religions, that have martyrs, to be true, even though they contradict each others faith?

How can any normal, thinking person call martyrdom evidence of anything other than human tragedy?

What do you think of the quote? Does it say anything to you? How does it make you feel?

"Volume 8, Book 73, Number 8:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:

Allah's Apostle mentioned the greatest sins or he was asked about the greatest sins. He said, "To join partners in worship with Allah; to kill a soul which Allah has forbidden to kill; and to be undutiful or unkind to one's parents." The Prophet added, "Shall I inform you of the biggest of the great sins? That is the forged statement or the false witness." Shu'ba (the sub-narrator) states that most probably the Prophet said, "the false witness.""
