I know, I know, you're born that way, but people are born gay too, and you still seem to think THAT'S a choice.

It is if you are playing chess! What's your point!

Your statement about being born gay, is not obvious, being black seems somewhat obvious, or perhaps you have never been to Africa?

If indeed being gay is genetic one would think it more obvious than it is. It may not be denied that some strange things happen in genetics, including some being born with the genitals of both sexes (hearsay).

Christ himself stated that some were born Eunuchs, thus indicating that genetics may have a hand in sexually related matters. What matters though is God's wisdom!

A very dear scripture says, "there is no wisdom in opposition to God" and the other one that supports it says that engaging in wicked acts provides no salvation.

Thus if God in his wisdom forbade Christians and told us that those who engage in these acts cannot inherit God's kingdom, it means that you can control yourself and your urges, and you must to be a Christian!

I will say this, when a young boy, the boys in our neighborhood would get together and compare and talk about such things. I have always thought that because boys had to bathe together in school, and thus were familiar with each other, they had a tendency to be less scared of boys playing with boys.

They were scared of approaching the girls when 12-16 then. Thus to me homosexuality had an inroad for some who got heavily in to this boy-boy playing. For this reason, I do not think it is a natural thing but a thing that is trust unto young boys by older ones, or by adult men.

If the families do not warn the children, such behavior may easily become entrenched.

Well, where I live I see a lot of the white teens trying to act black. For them it's a choice.
They really look stupid when they do their hair in corn rolls.
But, as for the color, no it's not a choice as is for some homosexuals. I don't dispute that, nor have I ever.
I, on the other hand, think for some it is a choice.
I have relatives--one was born that way, for the other--it was a choice. Case and point--bi-sexuals.
It's a choice sometimes.

Um i don't think that you can really compare being gay to being black, as first off gay people shouldn't have to hide their sexuality but it's not as if you can just look at someone everytime and say they are gay and hurl abuse at them, whereas you can usually tell by someones appearance if they are black. Second of all, people can choose to have gay experiences or be bi-sexual, so it doesn't seem if being gay is only down to the genes you are born with but lifestyle choices as well. That is a broad statement and the Nature-Nurture debate needs to be explored before we assume you are born with sexual preferences- after all, I used to think the idea of oral was disgusting until about a year and a half ago and now i love it! Thirdly, are we just going to compare every non-majority group to the majority? Disabled people don't choose to be disabled, for example. But what does it have to do with being gay? Black and gay people don't have much more in common than white and gay people, unless you are black and gay! Most people who are in the majority for something are in the minority for something else, or a re definitely in the minority somewhere else.

A true Christian should be clean even fron a sexual relation with a woman untill he is married, and if he doesent choose to get married he must stay clean untill he dies. Bible and God are strict on that matter that no gay would be a Cristian read Romans 1:26-32. Now if a man with naturall sexuall feelings would have to be clean from all this to be a Cristian isnt easyer for a gay to be clean from doing that?
If someone continue to do such things he can not be a true Christian.

So does that also mean that pedophiles are just born that way? How about those mammal-manlove freaks up in Seattle that like to do it with horses? Prostitutes are just born that way? So, how about alcoholics, drug addicts, workaholics, abusive husbands, cheating wives, thieves, liars, also----wonderful husbands, loving wives, hard workers, I hope you get my point. No responsibility, no accountability.
Oh, I know you are wanting comments from Christians, but I couldn't resist; also, I'm not a homophobe, it's just that if you take blood samples from someone, you can do a DNA test to find out if they're black, can't do the same for gay, not the same thing.

Having (true) black skin isn't a choice.
Acting like you have black skin is.
What you are is one thing, how you behave or act is another.
I know a few people who others say are gay simply by how their voice sounds or because of how their body moves. BUT, they are totally HETERO. On the other hand, I have a friend who is an avid sports freak, and loves hunting and fishing and if he didn't tell you, you wouldn't think he's gay, but he is.
So, acting v thinking. Take your time.

I am not under that thought. I think that some people are born Gay and some are made into one. Either way, it's not important to me. What I have learned is that God offered Himself so that any of us can be saved. Gay or whatever. What we will or will not do is trust Him for it. That is what is important to me.

No, it's not the same. "Gay" refers to a person's sexually depraved lifestyle. A person's skin color does not speak of his lifestyle. Your lifestyle is your choice and you'll have to live with the consequences.

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." 1Cor 6:9,10

"God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator— who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done." Rom 1:24-28

Jude 1:7 "In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."

Heb 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."

Furthermore Jesus said concerning marriage "at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’" of which he took as a precedent for marriage
