It doesn't matter to me if you obssess over it or not. But, when you call a lie the truth, and teach our children that it is, when it is SIMPLY A THEORY THAT DARWIN HIMSELF ADMITTED COULDN'T BE POSSIBLE, then, yes, I have a problem with that.By the way, YOU'RE THE ONE WHO BROUGHT UP THIS QUESTION. NOT ME!

These questions seem to come up a fair bit in YA. I find it funny that you say "This would suggest that people who accept evolution think about evolution all day and that their lives revolve around It." because your beliefs shape your perception of both the world and God. We saw what happens when perceptions change in a most dramatic way on September 11 and I think we would all agree that the terrorists involved had a very different perception of the world than people on this forum. In some countries Female genital mutilation (female circumcision) is practiced and no one in the society question it, but the west does (in fact there is a specific clause in the UN Declaration of Human Rights that is about Female genital mutilation). If we walked into their culture they would probably say a similar thing to what you just said "please realise that [topic] is not really a big deal to most people, it's just another scientific truth among thousands of others" but it does affect peoples lives. Christians who believe Darwinian evolution (there are at least 6 definitions so I want to be specific) undermine the foundation of the Bible and effectively destroy the sacrifice that Jesus made when He died on the Cross. There are many other aspects to Darwinian Evolution that affect the lives of people who believe in it but I'm not here to list them in this answer, just to say it really is an issue, even if people don't realise it. Also remember that only a decade or two ago it was only environmental fundamentalists who were claiming that global warming was a real issue and look at the world (and these 'fundamental environmentalists' views)

i don't konw but what i know is that this matter should be taking care like galileo said. That the bible truth and the nature truths to keep seperate so that they don't go into conflict. One should not use the bible to make opinions about things of nature that change over time sense they are not facts. Its a fact that the theory of evolution is just a best guess of the scientist and not a fact. But i suppose untill proofing true its an opinion and opinions should be respected.

Most people who believe in creation, at least the ones I have met or communicated with, do not as you put it, obsess over evolution, or any alternative belief for that matter. I am not saying that there are not alot of nuts out there who believe in creation and are trying to force their views on others that do not believe in creation, but usually these people do not fully understand stand what they believe and their arguements are based on half truths or blind faith.
The creation story is not based on half truths nor blind faith. On the contuary it is based on information found in liturature from antiquity that would stand up in any court of law if it were presented as evidence today. This information is backed up by some of the top scientists, physicists, mathmaticians and astronomers alive today. These are people most would not categorize as religious fanatics but would be reconized as the leaders in their field of study.
You can choose to categorically ignore this information but there is no other explanation to date that can be backed up by scientific fact. To date, there are only theories, and this includes the "theory of evolution". This is a theory introduced by Darwin who doubted his own findings and to date this theory has never been proven.
I do not obsess, but I find it amusing that people will readily except something that has no scientific backing, yet will totally reject somthing else that for thousands of years has yet to be proved to be wrong.

Hate to burst your bubble, but evilution(intentional) is not a scientific fact. There has never been a verifible fact of evilution that has been proven. As a matter of fact, evilution THEORY is updated and changed once about every five or ten years because they find things that violate what they consider to be proof and fact.
And Christians do not obsess about it. Want proof, there are more questions bringing the subject up from athiest, agnostic, evilutionists than by Christians. So they are the ones obsessing about.
I graduated from college with a BS in Earth Science, and I have observed and seen the tests. Every test falls short of the scientific method, yet they still cram this lie down our kids throats.
It has been proven that 3/4ths of the evidence used to prove evilution is a lie. Some have been known for almost an entire century, yet they have not been taken out of school textbooks.
Go to drdino.com for a better explanation.

"Anyway I have go attent a newtonion gravitationalist meeting now."
You self-deluded gravitationalists make me sick. You think you know it all... as if your so-called 'science' puts you above god.
Open your mind and read the bible, so you can discern the god-given truths which (under the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit) will provide you with a basis for understanding the reality of 'Intelligent Earth-Suck'...

A 'loony' creationist here. The reason I 'obsess' on evolution is because I believed in it, and found it NOT to be a scientific truth. As a matter of fact, it is really BAD science.
I believe in ACCURATE science, not 'maybe', 'could have', 'it is plausible'.
REAL science is this computer, the programs to run it, Cell phones, I-Pods, etc.
Evolution is a concoction of half-truths, fairy tales, and flat-out lies. The greatest hoax in human history.
I am for TRUE science, and cant stand the perversion of it.
I hate to see science used and abused to push a secular-humanist agenda. It is so twisted and warped to fit the evolution mold that it is no longer science.

It's mostly propaganda. It's their way of dealing with it, by attempting to reduce it to just another religion to compete with because, obviously, they can't compete with it on an educated/scientific level.

I'm not sure I can answer this one... as I do spend much of my time obsessing about gravity. Although, I'm generally flying my hang glider while this is happening.

Creationists obsess about one heck of alot of things so they figure we must too. I can't imagine living life obsessed with a god the way they do.
