This question is often asked of atheists. With your faith in a god, how does that give life meaning.

Science creates the perfect android body. Completely indistinguishable from an actual human body in all ways, touch, taste, sight, smell, hearing.

You may, if you desire, have your brain "downloaded" into this android body, with 100% transference. All thoughts, memories, emotions, feelings, EVERYTHING will persists just as it did when in your organic body. To the people around you, you will be the exact same person, and they to you. The only thing is that your organic body must die to make this happen.

As an android, you will continue to experience life just as a human... to think, to love, to learn. The only difference is that you will never age, and you will never die, unless YOU CHOOSE TO.

Would you do it, and what would your god (if you are a theist) think of you for doing it?

have the best taste in music.

Have you ever heard the song "Silang Mabele" by Vusi Mahlasela? It was on the "Tsotsi" movie soundtrack. The song is written in six different African languages. I would love to know if anyone can translate the lyrics for me? I can send you the song through e-mail. For some reason (seems to be a copyright problem) no one will publish the lyrics to a website.

Thanks!

I don't recall anything like this in my history books, and photos of the moon surface look pretty barren. How could this be? Did we land on the wrong part of the moon? Did we only see one small piece, and made a gross error in judgment assuming that the rest of the moon was the same?

Do you know every single thing there is to know?--don't lie, because you will look foolish. How can you say there is no God?

God's not real, right? You people always seem to mock God and say He is ficticious, a myth, a legend, a imaginary friend. Why is it then that you all hang around on the spiritual section? Should you not be asking questions under the mythology section? Because none of you know everything there is to know. Thus, none of you can actually make an absolute 100% sure statement that there is no God. That's why you hang around on religion. You are interested, and you know there is a God. I sincerely hope you find Him before it's too late to even find Him at all. I hope that you will consider what you read about Christ, and that you see He is the only way. Go to www.gotquestions.org, www.intouch.org, www.lesfeldick.org, and www.icr.org. And by the way, the true Christians do not hate you. We love you, and that is why we are DETERMINED to lead you to Christ.

I was baptized Catholic when I was a baby and I went to CCD for a couple years in elementary school. I made my First Communion, but then I quit CCD and never made my confirmation. I don't consider myself a Catholic (or a Christian) and haven't gone to church for 10+ years. I don't celebrate Easter and my husband and I don't decorate our home for Christmas. To make my parents happy, I do exchange gifts in their home, but that's it. My question came about after reading that Prince William isn't allowed to marry a Catholic. Now don't jump to any conclusions - I'm happily married and have no secret desire to marry royalty. However, it got me wondering, do you have to be confirmed to be considered Catholic, or just baptized? In a case like this royalty marriage thing, would I be considered Catholic? If so, how do you "undo" a religious decision you never made for yourself, without actually converting to another religion? Besides the royal marriage, are there other times it would matter?

I learned in Bible college that the word god did not originate in the Anglo/Saxon languages. No wonder in English it is spelled dog in reverse but did not have the same mean'n in the previous language it wuz borrowed from. In the USA it is mentioned on all of the note bills (curency). Do U k'now why and by whom?

Your position is that god does not force anyone to worship him - ergo we have free will.

Interestingly, your god made the consequences of our decision polar opposites - heaven and hell - and by making the choice eternal bliss or eternal torture, god has in effect stacked the deck in his favor, for only an insane person would willingly choose an eternity of torture, agreed?

So our free will is only the freedom to choose between pleasure or pain? How is this a choice? If your god TRULY wanted to give us free will, he would either NOT REVEAL the reward/punishment awaiting us after death, or he would have given us two equally attractive choices, which would show RESPECT for our intelligence AND our free will, while also PROVING his benevolence beyond a shadow of a doubt. THAT, of course, would be a being WORTHY of admiration.

As it stands now, the "free will" your god gives is in name only. When examined closely, it's no different than coercion

What does this really mean, When the church tries to voice an opinon the people scream seperation of church and state. Yet when the state comes in and tries to silence the church about what we can preach or teach the people appaud and shout from the rooftops. If there is to be a seperation of church and state shouldnt it go both ways or only one way.

this video is sooo f*cking sick. I almost cried when I watched it and I flicked off the people after time they showed them singing. Athesists piss me off but these people really did. If I seen anyone of these people I'd punch them right in the face. I'm sorry I don't want to start anything because I know there are different religions but this really made me upset. I'm going to remove this question after but I want to know what you people think of it.
