" Yes, we did it. We did it by following the precious words of the great Pope Benedict XVI when he still was Cardinal Josepth Ratzinger. He explained why Harry Potter bring the youngs of our earth to Neo Paganism faith. "

For real? Hoax? Double hoax?

Double hoax. For one thing, if they really wanted to ruin the story for all us fans, they failed. Now we have to read it to find out whether or not they are right. Also, there's very little detail here, so we would still need to read it to fill that in.

I also think it is curious that whoever wrote this has such a poor command of the English language. That's a "clue," too, in a way.

If it's a real "spoiler," it's going to be a failure because it does not spoil. They obviously have no clue as to why Potter fans are such loyal fans. No one reads a book like that just to know the ending. Otherwise why would we read it over and over again? I mean, once you know the ending, why re-read? Because the complexity of the stories means that you will notice something new every time. Read the second time, knowing the ending, and you will notice a few clues you'd missed the first time. Then you read a third time to try to figure the additional mysteries raised by those clues, namely how could you have missed them the first time? The fourth time is to get it all fresh in your mind again when the new book comes out, which reminds me it's time to read the whole set yet again so it's all fresh in my mind next month when I go to the midnight party at Borders dressed in full regalia.

Oddly enough, I decided not to even look at it. I'll have the real thing soon enough! As for Harry Potter bringing the youth to "neo-paganism," I don't think so! I've read some pretty erudite essays on why HP undermines Christianity, but they seem the same as would be any criticism of books that let youngsters "bend the rules" in order to save their friends, do good, etc. etc. They are just afraid that children will read about their heroes who get away with stuff and go out and disobey their sainted parents. The fact that the HP world has Christmas, and they identify it AS Christmas speaks against a pagan agenda here!

The Christians who are against the ideas in Harry Potter are reading the superficial aspects as thematic; it is like Luddites condemning technology simply because it denies the age-old work ethic and promises to grant idle time to little vessels that the Devil is just waiting to fill. Basically it is saying that all people are naturally bad unless they are controlled. So, the proactive Harry and his friends, who pay little attention to the structured rules of the institution are a threat, and the fact they are witches and wizards simply provides a hook for the masses to condemn the whole thing.

Sorry for the rant; I find even the most erudite HP denunciations to chafe a bit, but then again, so did religion! In short, I have patience, and I can wait to see how Harry ends his 7th year at Hogwarts (if indeed he spends any time at Hogwarts this time around).

Bahhh. First off, I seriously doubt the publisher would make it easy for some hacker to find the ending of the book that is going to make the rich beyond belief.

Secondly, they sight that they did this so people won't read the book because it leads them to Neo-Paganism faith. Harry Potter has as much to do with Neo-Paganism as Arnold Schwarzenegger's "End of Days" movie has to do with Christianity. Nothing. People are lead to Neo-Paganism out of curiosity and wanting to understand more, if they decide it is their calling to follow it or not to that is their choice. The Catholic church has a real problem with competition and are probably still upset that they cannot deal with competition like they use to, i.e. torture and killing.

I would chalk this one up to one of the silly things people do just to get a rise out of people, not unlike trolls in Y!A.

Blessed Be )O(

The Harry Potter stuff is fiction, nothing more. It's a fad which has made one poor woman less than poor, and given a lot of kids a lot of enjoyment. But to call it "a Neo Paganism faith" is the shallowest, most ignorant (in the true sense) statement I've heard in a long time.
For real? Who cares? It's fiction, pure and simple. The kids know it, enjoy it, and treat it as no more real than Mickey Mouse.

Doesn't really matter to me I have 2 copys of the book preordered and will pick them up at my local book store at 12:01 am the day of release just as I have the last 3 books in the series..

I love the Harry Potter series it has made avid readers out of a lot of children who rarely picked up a book before reading Harry..

My 10 yr old daughter is already negotiating to sleep all day the day before release so she can stay up all night and read book 7.. Yes it's summer and yes I am gonna let her. but I am gonna get a lot of dishes and a lot of other chores done before I let her know that LOL

She already has her Hermione Granger costume ready to wear to the big party at our local book store.. Main Street in our town is scheduled to be closed for 4 blocks (Traffic diverted to side streets just as it is every Halloween when main street businesses do a trick or treat party and carnival) in front of the book store with carnival rides, Look like the books characters and other activities planned for the hours leading up to release time.. Should be a really fun time...

My 10 yr old is currently rereading books 1-6 so she is ready to read book 7 when she gets it..

It is a hoax of course. Logically there is no way that they could know this information. I don't believe a word of it.
