Why NIV (New International version) of bible censored. Countless verses thrown from bible?
Several readers have asked me this question so I thought it worthwhile to include my response here. Please note that these are only WHOLE verses that the NIV deletes. This list does not include the many words and phrases that were completely deleted from the NIV--it deletes over 64,000 words including words like mercyseat, Jehovah, and Godhead. It removes meaningful, well-known Bible words like Calvary, Lucifer, new testament, regeneration, etc. Most of the modern Bibles line up very closely with the NIV--and so does the New World Translation--the Bible of the Jehovah's Witnesses which predates the NIV!
When you read below where I say that a verse is COMPLETELY deleted, I mean clean/bald-headed/gone/vanished deleted. For instance, if you search for Acts 8:37 in the NIV you will read,
36As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why sho

It's called editing. If you don't like it, try the King James Version, but that is a poor translation itself due to the source material available at the time. If you require literalism, try Young's Literal Translation.

From the New World Translation;
(Acts 8:36-38) Now as they were going over the road, they came to a certain body of water, and the eunuch said: “Look! A body of water; what prevents me from getting baptized?” 37 —— 38 With that he commanded the chariot to halt, and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

So WHAT was written in verse 37...?

It must have been something added that had no bearing on the fact that the eunuch wanted to be baptised...in compliance with what Jesus taught.
If it was words which had been added to try and support the trinity concept, then when stacked up against all the verses in the book of John which deny the trinity, then it would have to be removed.

My dear brother, I am totally against censorship. The Bible has what would be viewed by some as violence for the sake of violence, unneeded sex scenes, all that is wrong and hateful. If it were a movie it would sell out like crazy. But remember the book was written by different men. Their views differed on things. Some saw the beauty of the world and some saw violence as a means to an end. Not unlike today. If anything, the Bible illustrates that things don't really change that much. The world seems to be falling apart and we still argue about inane petty things. Through all the chapters the theme is back to the Golden Rule. Treat others as you would be treated. And everyday, we go out into the world and often forget that. So many years, so many deaths over religion, and we still don't get it. (Love you Brother Ren)

We should NOT censor the Bible her's why.

I’d not heard of these inconsistancies before. But a little research led to what I think is the right answer to your question

There are indeed counterfit Bibles out there. One should not condemn ALL NIV Bibles.

I’ve attached a link to help you further…

They've created 25 simple checks to spot one of Satan’s counterfeits.

If any Bible version fails any one of the following tests – it is a counterfeit. You can click on any of the check verses to display the authentic Word of God for comparison.

Note: This is by no means ALL the fraud and corruption found in the counterfeits. There are thousands of such distortions. This is a simple and quick checklist.

The lazy people just give up and say things like Bible Evolution When in fact there are people who are trying their best to disprove the Bible by writting their own mistsakes.

I can't answer that for sure. But I have a hunch that the verses that were deleted were added verses to begin with. If you look in the older versions some verse are in parenthesis. Those verses were questionable verses, included in some ancient manuscripts but not in others. And as far as words being deleted. Whenever another translation is made the wording is different. That would allow for the omitting of words in that translation.

Sadly, this so-called "question" seems less concerned with magnifying the Divine Author and more concerned with demeaning Jehovah's Witnesses. By 2007, Jehovah's Witnesses distributed more than 145 million copies of "New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures", in dozens of languages.
http://watchtower.org/languages.htm

The entire text of NWT is freely available at the official website of Jehovah's Witnesses, and a personal printed copy can be requested at no charge:
http://watchtower.org/bible/
https://watch002.securesites.net/contact/submit.htm
http://watchtower.org/how_to_contact_us.htm

Jehovah's Witnesses certainly like NWT, but they are happy to use any translation which an interested person may prefer, and in fact Jehovah's Witnesses themselves distribute other translations besides NWT. Jehovah's Witnesses attach no particular infallibility or inspiration to NWT.

The "New World Translation Committee" which oversaw the translation work request anonymity 'en perpetuity', and are likely all dead since the primary work was completed 45 years ago. Guesses at specific names have always been merely guesses. Since the same manuscripts used by the NWT translators are still widely available for study, and since there are dozens of alternate translations for comparison, anyone who chooses to use NWT does so informedly.

It seems that the vast majority of the criticism against the New World Translation is actually as a proxy for blind hatred against Jehovah's Witnesses. The hatred must be "blind" since secular experts of biblical Hebrew and Greek have consistently refused to condemn any particular verse or phrase as an unacceptable translation. Instead, it is religionists with preconceived theologies who bigotedly insist upon particular wordings, since these are necessary to prop up the shaky tenets of their false worship.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems significant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

The Apocryphon of John has none of these problems because the christian church has had no control over it. Anyone who wants the real deal straight from Jesus to John to us needs to read it and ask The Spirit of truth for understanding. The truth about God is available and accessable and knowable, to remain ignorant is a very foolish choice.

Yeah we can, it has already been changed and re-written millions of time, so i think there is no harm in doing so juts give me the bible and i will censor the whole book itself,

Sure we can, they did when deciding what was going to be in it hundreds of years ago. It should be changed to better manipulate and control those that believe in it, so the non-believers are "shunned" for even more reasons.
