Is the Bible true?

Many people think the bible is full of errors and mistakes. The bible is 100 percent accurate. The bible can prove itself to be true. The bible is an accurate book about history, science, future events foretold, and how we are to live. Lets examine some of the evidence there is for the bible being the inspired word of God.

The bible is the only book that has predicated the future 100 percent. Only God can do this. No man could even get close enough to compare to predicting the future like the bible can. The bible predicted the name, birthplace, triumphal entry, betrayal, suffering, death, and burial of Jesus. Jesus was foretold in the bible hundreds of years before Him came.

"The following probabilities are taken from Peter Stoner in Science Speaks (Moody Press, 1963) to show that coincidence is ruled out by the science of probability. Stoner says that by using the modern science of probability in reference to eight prophecies, ‘we find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 in 10 to the 17th power." That would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. In order to help us comprehend this staggering probability, Stoner illustrates it by supposing that "we take 10to the 17th power silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They will cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up one silver dollar and say that this is the right one. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would have had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man."
Stoner considers 48 prophecies and says, "we find the chance that any one man fulfilled all 48 prophecies to be 1 in 10 to the 157th power, or 1 in 10,00,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 000,000,000."

(This information was taken from the book Evidence that Demands a Verdict, by Josh McDowell.)

Just think this is only the percentage with a person being able to fill only 8 proficies. Jesus fulfilled over 300 proficies. This proves the accuracey of the bible trough proficey with out any doubt.

Here are some of the things scientific in the bible:

There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory. (1 Corinthians 15:41) The bible is telling us all the stars are different and unique from one another.

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls: (Leviticus 17:11) We were told by the bible our life is in the blood.

It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. (Isaiah 40:22) In the bible it states that the Earth is round not flat.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. (2 Peter 3:10) Here is an example of nuclear explosion.
Here are some of many of the evidences that the bible is accurate with science.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16) knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1 20-21) So the bible is the work of God. There we 40 authors of 66 books that were inspired by God to write the bible. These 66 books were written over a time span of about 1,500 years. All 66 books agree with each other. You can not get any 66 books over 1,500 years, that were from different countries to all agree with each other today. This proves the bible is really Gods word. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

Nobody can see God because God is a concept and is therefore fiction by definition. Everyone at some point in time will have a challenge and to those who practice an understanding of what God truly is use God as a source of strength.

God and Satan are both interchangable, each stimulating a response within the worshipper, conditioning a belief system within the given subject.

God is not a life form that can live or die, it is a philosophy. To me, it has helped put into perspective how we all interact with each other, good and evil, and reveal how a lot of people create their own negative lifestyle simply by not taking the time to understand the true depth of intelligence and humanity.

People who deny the exsistence of God usually inherit their opinion from the family tree and has experienced downtrodden, depressing environments and generally dwell on every little complaint of life. The true believer knows that this is a waste of time... life is just too precious to be negative and constantly trying to neglect a concept that has survived for generations. Wake up and realize that you would not even begin to rationalize what God is if it was not for the humane teachings of the great people who took the time many centuries and modernizations ago to try and explain the human conscious to us, mainly Moses, Jesus, Muhammed, etc... and consider standard intelligence of pre-psychology/emotional science intellect of the average biblical scholar. If Steven King wrote like that, he wouldn't be taken seriously either.

it is clear that somewhere in the late iron age the Hebrews had come up with a new concept about Deity - the idea of a single God responsible for everything.
this early idea metamorphosed and diverged into the complete array of monotheistic religions.
it is unclear when this concept reached its full bloom, and although the myths in the bible claim it all started as early as 3700 B.C, my guess is that it occurred much later, maybe as late as 800 B.C. or even later, and the stories in the bible which were collected from the mythologies of Babylonian and Egyptian sources were modified, to fit the new concept.

It IS the word of God.
God himself protects the basic core truths of it.
There have been many translations and any parts that do not agree with the whole get lost.,
What we have left is what God wants us to know.
(Revelation 22:18-19) “I am bearing witness to everyone that hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone makes an addition to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll; 19 and if anyone takes anything away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take his portion away from the trees of life and out of the holy city, things which are written about in this scroll.

God will not only punish those that try to radically change the MEANING of the scriptures , he will HELP those humble ones who try and understand .
