Are you actively checking into where you worship......Jesus called us to be active.....Are you letting a religious group do all of your research for you?...If so ..Why would you trust your salvation to others?

I'm feeling down. God blessed me with a new job that I am sooooo grateful for! But this man in my life has left me feeling really low self esteem and now my friends are making me feel bad. I feel really low about myself and weak. Positive people are at my job, but not in my personal life. Please pray that God sends me an angel or a good man in my life (possibly a future husband). Please pray that I can be strong in my current situation. Thanks guys.

is the ensuing violence really a preferred alternative to just letting everyone live in this country without your evangelizing-through-government-channels?

I can't figure what the alternative is to A) you letting up B) everyone else conforming C) everyone else going to some magical island kingdom what offers TRUE liberty or D) violent revolution (see history of the world for more on this topic)

Is there something I am missing?

To those in R&S, when you read a comment, do you give it a thumbs up or thumbs down depending on whether you agree with the person or whether that person's comment is useful and relevant?

Isn't it our duty to be impartial with giving thumbs up or thumbs down? Wouldn't that stop a lot of anger and insults of ignorance? If a comment is useful, should we not give it a thumbs up no matter how we feel on the subject?

This forum has opposing views. Good posts are thumbs downed all the time because a certain group of people do not believe in the context of that post. Why?

Example Q&A:
Q: What are your feelings about religion?

A1: OMG I am a Hindu and Jews should be sent to an island by themselves to die!!!! 5 Thumbs up, 1 Thumbs down

A2: Religion is a cultural phenomenon marked by scriptures, including the Qur'an and the Bible. As a devout Christian, I believe that we should all be loved and accepted, but that I believe in God. I advise reading the Bible. 1 Thumbs down, 5 Thumbs up.

I have been going through a really bad time the past two months, and I have felt very bitter about not being able to go to church and enjoy being around other Christians without having extreme panic attacks. I said some things about other Christians that, even though might have been true about a small number of Christians, isn't true of most. Many Christians are loving and good people. Please forgive my bitterness and self-pity.

...That it's always the ignorant, the weak minded, the unhappy, the troubled and the self loathing, who have the most hate for other groups of people?

While the more intelligent, happy, serene, enlightened, and at peace seem to have enough love in their hearts for everyone?

Why do you think that is?

I have my own ideas about this, but I want to hear what you all think. :)

I notice in the Bible it is a big sin to charge interest on money lent. Is there an international Judeo-Christian bank with online banking facilities that loans money without charging interest in order to remain sinless?

I'm sooo confused and need help. I don't know whether or not I believe in God. I believe a lot of science like evolution and stuff about the universe and astronomic stuff. Sometimes I believe that there could be God(s) because the universe is huge and complex. but i also believe that there is a scientific explanation for everything. but then i do believe in God because i wonder how the universe began and where that first atom came from. And parallel universes? how What confuses me a lot is....if energy cannot be created or destroyed than how did that one atom become duotrigintillions of atoms now? I'm soo confused.....my family is Hindu and all my friends are Christians. My best friend is a devoted Christian and i feel like if i talk to her she'll just try in turn me to Christianity and my family is no help. They have no time to explain anything to me. They will also get disappointed about this situation and try to turn me into a Hindu. What should I do and believe?

For Anglicans worldwide, this is by far the most talked about issue in the Church.

Today Canadian Anglicans voted against a motion to allow same sex blessings.

What do you think about this matter?

Should Anglicans bless same sex unions? Is it a matter of doctrine? Of scripture?

Many Churches in North America have a position on this matter that is overwhelmingly on one side. But Anglicans seem very closely divided on the subject.

Where do you stand? What should the Church do?

If you do, then maybe you can appreciate why many others don't accept yours. They are just as strong in their beliefs as you are. Including the Atheists and Agnostics. No one appreciates your beliefs that all must be converted.
