is the ensuing violence really a preferred alternative to just letting everyone live in this country without your evangelizing-through-government-channels?
I can't figure what the alternative is to A) you letting up B) everyone else conforming C) everyone else going to some magical island kingdom what offers TRUE liberty or D) violent revolution (see history of the world for more on this topic)
Is there something I am missing?

um, the secular left hasn't been steadily putting "god" in every aspect of government
and what us who aren't part of the secular left, and still want Christians to leave the govt neutral??

Ross, old friend, they just want everyone that isn't like them to just "dissappear". I think that you're preaching to the choir here. Most see your name and just click right on by, might be time for a new identity. But for the record, you DO make perfect sense and I LIKE you. You're pretty cool, for an atheist ;) . Oh, and sorry for the rant, last night. I was on a roll and sometimes I don't know WHEN to STFU.

Yes.
The secular left is the side that wants everyone to conform. They are the ones that need to let up.
I am not a Christian. I am not even religious.
But the biggest threat to our country right now is those that oppose capitalism and want to issue in a communist country.
If and when the "evangelizing-through-government" by the Christians becomes a threat, I will let you know.
Please join me in the real world. You are making statements with nothing to back it up with.

I hope it never gets to that. Although I am not from USA...
As a Christian that is just not the way we are supposed to work... We are supposed to live among non-believers so that by our lives they will see God truly exists and see Him as Love.
(Yeah I know most Christian's bite at that... me included day dependant - which too is bad...)

Many generals would be willing to fight for Christianity, so I'd say that a civil war is imminent. In 50 years.
Either way, I hope I'm dead by then
