The Bible says:Thou shall not commit murder. Look at how many country's, that God according to the old Testament decided were full of 'sin', and told them to kill everyone, including woman and children. It's been discovered that:"Thou shalt not kill:, is a mistransulation. Many Ministers and Priests, have accepted that transulation as being correct. If we go by the orginal transulation, we wouldn't even be able to defend ourselves, our families or our nation.
Freedom doesn't come cheap, and many men have died defending the nation, just in the Revalution in our country. The cruesades, are a real example of that type of abuse. Many people have died in the name of God, and Allah.
I guess, it depends on how you decide, why and the use of killing is in God's name. Usually however, it's seldom ever reallist to say that you are killing in God's name. unless it's for the reasons I've mentioned.

Sure, here's an example for you. A Christian has a job as a police officer and he comes upon a gang of thugs beating and robbing an old lady. He pulls his gun and orders them to stop but instead they pull out their own guns and so he shoots and kills them. According to the following passage the officer was God's avenger executing God's wrath upon evil doers.
Romans 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.

Through the ages, many have gone to war in God's name. But sometimes the truth of the reality was that it was not always the case. Take the Templars...though the intent to retake Jeruslem was good and all, the end result was that most of the nobles doing so were more interested in wealth and lands. It is in recorded history. Look at King Richard's time...you could find it online I am sure.

Read the Book of Leviticus in the Old Testament.
I have attached a link containing some interesting Bible verses.
The Bible also bans women from teaching.

yes. if a really really old person is on life suppport, and he's only there cuz he's old, he didn't get into a car crash or anything, and you took him off life support, that wouldn't be murder. The bible states that only god can take and give life and by keeping him on life supportyou are giving him fake life when it is obviously his time to go.

If you worship Ares the God of war, then probably yes.
He blankets his bed with the skins of men He has killed in battle.

All depends on your particular god.
Some people believe that their god is in favor of killing all those who don't have the very same specific delusional beliefs as them. I think they refer to these people as 'infidels'.

Join the military. Totally sanctioned killing. If it's done in the name of god it's justified, right? Get some love in your life, please. Peace and love>
