There is a Christian retreat coming up for homeless women. I was asked to write letters to them; words of hope and of God's love. Does anyone have some suggestians as to what I should write in these? Please pray for me, that His words will come to me to be put on paper, and even more that when these women read them that it will touch their hearts. Thank you so much!

It's hard thinking of powerful things to write. Any suggestions?

They don't need letters, they need a place to live. Write your "letters" to various members of your "organization" asking them for their time and money and build a shelter.

Please feel free to copy and make as many of these as you wish. It has helped hundreds of people.
Just Stop and Let Life get Easier!!
When life's problems seem to close in on us from all sides and loneliness and depression come or we become agitated, miserable, doubtful and fearful. Don’t fret! there is a solution when these things crop up, immediately follow these simple instructions.....Say to yourself,( your name), Stop!! Let go and Let God Be God.( again what ever that is to you.) Take a deep, deep breath and let it out very slowly. Relaxing your neck, shoulders, arms, hands, stomach, legs and feet. You will instantly begin to fill with and softly say or think these words to yourself. I am filling with;
Gratefulness
Warmness
Tenderness
Kindness
Gentleness
Humbleness and Peacefulness.
You will find that you experience not only a mental change but also a definite physical change, that begins to instantly change your outlook on the current situation. You can do this anytime anywhere. I have done it in traffic. Behind the slow lady in line at the store. I do this every night before I lay down to sleep. It Works. It really does. Please Try It...
Remember, we have to quit playing God or it will kill us !!!!

A very worthy cause! I volunteer at a shelter for women and children and know they would appreciate it a lot! They need to know others care.
You will think of the right things to say because you have a caring heart. Try to remember these women are alone, scared, sometimes no money and feeling unsure. You have answers in your heart, right along side all that caring. Kindness, caring, understanding and decent treatment will touch their hearts.

The words to this poem say it all. There is no need for me to add any comments.
OH BLESSED DAY
Oh Blessed Day
When God revealed His love to me
Oh Blessed Day
When Jesus came to set me free
Oh Blessed Day
When His Spirit came to dwell in me
Oh Blessed Day! Oh Blessed Day!
Oh Blessed Day
When God sent His Son to die for me
Oh Blessed Day
When Jesus shed His precious blood for me
Oh Blessed Day
When His Spirit gave me eyes to see
Oh Blessed Day! Oh Blessed Day!
Father God in Heaven
I thank You for Your Son
My Saviour, precious Jesus
I thank You for Your blood
Come now Holy Spirit
Soften my heart with oil
So the love of God can flow through me
And pour out like a flood.
Oh Blessed Day
When God filled me with His love
Words cannot express
The feelings in my heart
I'll forever give You praise
And bless You, Father God
Oh Blessed Day! Oh Blessed Day!

Prayer, and lots of it. And the parable of the 99 sheep comes to mind, about the Shepherd going after the one lost.

how selfish of you to demand prayers for yourself, when there are homeless women out there--which is more important, you're "inspiration" or their lives?--maybe you should try homelessness once--I have--I guarantee you won't be running out of crap to write about
