With all due respect to my Mormon friends out there I don't understand how a single person can remain totally celibate. Masters Bating is the most natural of urges and you lean to do this as a baby.

With that said, I'll be that most Mormons that say that they remain totally celibate do actually do this but say they don't just to appear to be some kind of super human being. I don't know anyone that would be willing to give this up for anything including a religion.

Do they take hormones to suppress sexual feelings? This just doesn't seem possible. Oh, I didn't want to actually use the word but it is a medical term so I think it's ok:)

All I know is he's a hindu god or something and he's strong, and looks like a monkey. But I'd like to know the details of the deity. Like, what does he represent. Is it strength, or is it that he's really strong, so though he may not symbolize it, as a God, he's pretty muscular? Just curious, and why did the head god decide to make this diety a strong monkey? Just cuz strength isn't the first thing that comes to mind when u think of a monkey. honest answers plz, thanks.

I feel there is no way to fully free ourselves from bias on a subject because no matter what, even if we think we are being open on a subject, we have preconceived notions instilled in us by society. I was wandering what you think about this.

African Development Bank (ADB)
Ouagadougou , Burkina Faso .
From: Mr ALI JEMES.

Dear Friend,
I Am The Manager Of Foreign Remittance And Exchange Dept At African
Development Bank (ADB). Burkina- Faso, West Africa .
In my department we discover an abandoned sum of Usd$12.6m Dollars
(Twelve
Million, Six Hundred Thousand Us Dollar). In an account that belongs to
one
of our foreign customer who died alongside with his entire family in a
plane
crash the year 2001 that took the whole life of the passengers on
board.
Since we got information about his death, the bank have been expecting
his
next of kin to come over ait unless someone applies for it as next of
kin or
relation to the deceased
nd claim his money because the bank cannot release
as indicating in our banking guideline, but unfortunately we learnt
that all
his supposed next of kin or relation that knows about the account
information died alongside with him at the plane crash leaving nobody
behind
for the claim.
It is therefore upon this discovery that I now decided to make this
business
proposal to you and for the money to be release to you as the next of
kin or
relation to the deceased, since nobody will ever come for it, we do not
want
this money to go into the treasury of the bank as unclaimed bill or
fund.
The bank law and guideline here stipulates that if such money remained
unclaimed after six years, the money will be transferred into the bank
treasury account as unclaimed fund. The request of foreigner as next of
kin
in this transaction is occasioned by the fact that the customer was a
foreigner and a citizen cannot stand as next of kin to a foreigner.
In subsequent disbursement of the money, I agree that 40% of this money
will
be for you in respect of the provision you made by standing in the
claim as
next of kin,10% will be set aside for expenses in cure during the
transaction on taxes that will arise and 50% would be for me.
As soon as the money hit into your account I will come over to your
country
for disbursement according to the percentages indicated above.
To make the claim, you will first of all apply to the bank by sending a
text
of application which I will send to you for you to fill and send to the
bank. In the application you will indicate your bank account, your
private
fax and your private telephone number for easy and effective
communication.
Upon receipt of your reply, I will send to you by email the text of
application which you will send to the bank. I will not fail to bring
to
your notice that this transaction is hitch free and you do not
entertain any
atom of fear as all required arrangements have been made for the
success of
the transfer.
You should contact me immediately as soon as you receive this letter.
Hoping to hear from you immediately.

Any Catholics here? My mom is Catholic, and gave me a couple of her saint medals (St. Christopher and St. Anthony) after my apartment was robbed and all my jewelry was taken. I have worn them a couple of times, but wear them for looks mostly because I'm not Catholic and don't pray to saints. I'm Presbyterian, though lately when I go to church, I go with my mom (to a Catholic church). I'm trying to decide if Catholicism is right for me.

So is it ok to wear saint medals, or pray to the saints? I went to Catholic school and remember learning a prayer to St. Anthony, but forget how it goes. My mom says you don't need to say a specific prayer, and swears by her St. Anthony medal to find lost stuff. I wouldn't say I don't believe in saints; Catholicism is so different than what the Presbyterian Church teaches, that I'm still trying to sort out how I feel about the various beliefs. I like my medals, but don't want to do anything sac-religious. Is there a rule on this?

I'm Japanese and want to know your honest answers.
In Japan, there are no atheists because there are few people who believe in God. Even if you don't say atheist, people know you don't believe in God.
There's buddhism, yes. But when you ask people in Japan "what is your religion?", they must answer "I believe in no religion." Does it make sense?

I mean come on... how hard would it be to trick people who thought headaches were caused by evil spirits?

It's absolutely amazing that modern Christians refuse to accept that they just might be a little bit smarter and more discerning than the superstitious fools that walked the earth thousands of years ago.

Come on Christians... we're all giving you the benefit of the doubt! Why not give it to yourselves?

Omnipotent, Omniscience, Omnipresent and Benevolent God is the center of your religion ( I was told ).

Would not it be better if you could let him protect.

And He already said whoever doesn't believe in him will be in the hell.

I am a bit confused.

How many idiots have you met that were in charge ? How many times have you talked to the bus driver and it turned out he was one smart guy who knew a lot of stuff Have you ever read the statistics on IQ vs jobs held ?Most people with IQ's over 140 - Gas station attendants and so forth - Average or slightly below Politicans
The ignorant the stupid the rude and the mean seem to get ahead and rewarded in our society
I find it harder and harder to see a Karmatic point here
Most Christians I have met are horrible people filled with rage and lie on a regular basis by and large thieves and so on -
Yet of the lowest classes in our society the people have been the oppisite of what I have been told to expect
Most of our society seems to be a big lie with the rude the mean and so forth clearly at the helm With a jack boot on the "undesirables" neck when with a little observation - aren't so undesirable and actually walk the walk that those in charge talk
I am missing the "Karma"

I have heard that these days there are some denominations of Christianity that accept homosexuality, bisexuality and transgendered persons, but I've no idea what they are. I'm curious as to how--if this is true and some denominations are accepting--the different denominations arrive at such different conclusions and interpretations of the Bible.

And, yes, I'm bisexual.

are actually MORE accepting of me and my christian beliefs than some of my fellow christians? i'm talking about christians who are of different denominations who narrow-mindedly see things they way THEY want to see them....and can't see things from other people's perspectives at all.

to some atheists, i guess it's no big deal since they aren't religious, so they don't care...but there are actually some christians out there who believe in the same God as me who judge me even more, just because i may not see things exactly the way they do

anyone else feel this way sometimes? people can be pretty close-minded.

For all of you Christians who were so dishonest the first time I asked the question:

"If a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you." -- Leviticus 20:14

"And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire." -- Leviticus 21:9

"Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt." -- Genesis 38:24
