I lost my mother in 2003 to lung cancer. She always knew how much I loved her. She was my best friend and I miss her terribly.
I live with my stepdad (and my grandmother. Long story). I've never said I love him because it doesn't quite feel right since my family just doesn't say that very often (we show it instead by being incredibly loyal to one another and willing to do anything for family), but I think he knows I do. He's a very good man who will do anything for my sister and I, and he cares for us like a father should.
My father... well he's not such a good father. It would be more accurate to say I "care" and leave it at that.
I can't stand my stepmother.

I starred you...
You will never regret doing that.
My parents have passed on (mom-5 years ago) and oh how I miss them, each second of each day...
When she died, my cousin said, "Karen, is there anything I can do for you"?
I replied, "Yes, as a matter of fact you can.. Do not let one day go by without telling your mother (his dad passed on) you love and appreciate her each day...
I asked a friend of mine if she was going to see her mom on mothers day and she said, "Dont know"... I told her she has the opportunity to hug her mother and take her flowers and all I can do is take fake flowers to lay on a grave.....
a wonderful question you have

Keep up the good work, you will never regret this behavior. My father died fourteen years ago and my mother last year. I know without doubt, they knew of my love, I will forever be grateful.

No, i do not. i did not strengthen up with them, and they are like strangers to me. I respect them because of the particular shown truth that they are my mothers and fathers, yet it truly is about it. I continuously tell my children i love them, and continuously allow them comprehend that they are loved a lot and continuously will be loved, no count number what.

I'm not big on that, I've sent my mother letters from the Gulf, so she's pretty sure I do, even though I don't tell her often.

I sent my Dad a great Fathers Day Card that said it. We don't say it out loud though,it's too embarrassing. But they know. We have a great relationship, we just don't verbalise it. We don't have too.
