Well, I don't think you can group all young people together, but I would say some of them are, yes. However, God-based religion is becoming increasingly unpopular in the United States, particularly in the education system, so I think that many young people try to push away feelings of interest if they're interested in appearing popular and intelligent.

I think that everyone has a spiritual element, though, so many young people channel their spiritual curiosity to other things. More "popular" religious ideas (whatever it is that day or year), and through social interactions. Connecting with people or feelings is a substitute for the natural interest in religious/spiritual matters that all humans have.

I think it would be nice if people were more free to openly discuss God in the U.S. without such ridicule, but it's really just history repeating itself. Religion always has been a heated source of dispute, and it always will be.

Many of my non-religious friends have had conversations with me about spiritual questions they ponder. Some take it further than others... it's hard to generalize and say that all people in a certain demographic are interested or not in that subject.

We live at a time when sin is rife, and people, particularly young people, are confused about life, so are asking themselves questions like
Why am I alive?
Does my life matter?
What is my purpose?

Many young people are seeking the answers to such questions, and the Bible says that those who seek God wholeheartedly will find Him.

In my church fellowship, there are lots of young people, some of whom have become Christians because a friend has witnessed to them at school or college, or work.

So, the answer to your question is 'yes' - young people are interested in finding out about God.

I don't know that I'm considered "young" lol, but my daughter who is 10 is very much into learning about the the Lord. She is spending half of her day with my husband while he is at work , and reads her Bible and asks him questions, last night during church service I noticed she had a notebook she labeled "Bible notes".
Now no smarty pants retorts on this or her please, as I find so much pride in her exploring the Lord on her own, and making her own decisions with actual insight, which is amazing for a 10 year old considering the answers I have been reading to some of the questions in this forum.

Yes. There's a spiritual hunger that's affecting the current generation as it becomes more and more secular. Children, particularly high school students, who were taught to blindly accept evolution express as much when presented with the evidence against evolution and for Biblical creationism.

Now, time to brace for the wave of thumbs downs..

Some are very interested. I brought a girl to church and her second or third time there she got the Holy Ghost. But she couldn't be baptized because she was Catholic and her mom wouldn't let her.

Only from the mouth of God, not a book, or a representative, or a believer.

They look at all the negativism, immorality, and outright blasphemy(R&S is a good example) and conclude that there must not be a God, if those people can get away with it.

I am. I think faith is an important part of life and we are genetically predisposed to seek a higher power. There's just too much unexplainable things that happen in our world to not believe that there is something beyond ourselves. I believe to think otherwise is almost selfish.

Most very young people (children) are capable of more faith and belief than an adult.......Until they become teenagers, easily persuaded.
