It is utter nonsense, that people in this day and age still agree with that line of reasoning.

Are they saying that anything that is behavioral is a choice? Like for instance you chose to be an introvert or an extrovert, you chose to have an interest in music or the arts, you chose to be of average intelligence, etc..

In Holland we have two proverbs: (well we have more of course, but still)

1. If two religions share a bed, the devil lies in the middle
2. The truth lies in the middle

Can I mix those?

in a world where people are starving , children are orphaned , wars , droughts , murders , bombings etc etc etc

why is hatred directed at people who just happen to love the same sex ?
this is so tiresome and just goes round and round in circles
people are who they are

if you are so filled with passion and making this world a good place....
there are better ways of doing so than trying to sort out peoples relationships, especially when said people are quite happy in an adult loving relationship
dont you agree ?

I know when I turned 18, but I want to perform a ritual. I've read about these, sometimes dangerous rituals, to celebrate my transistion from boyhood to manhood. I am still feeling like a boy and I want to perform like a ritual or gathering cermeony to commence my transistion into adulthood. Do you have any suggestions?

hi, i'll try to be brief...i just saw an old boyfriend (11 yrs ago we were together) and he was VERY abusive, so much so that he had to go to jail. SInce those 11 years passed I'm happily married and have two little children. My question is this, I'm looking to move to antoher apartment I can't bear to have him living in such close proximity to me. He saw me one time and kept staring and I hated myself for feeling that same fear I felt when I was 17. Can someone please offer me advice as to how to handle this, WHY ON EARTH , if fate exists do you believe I would bump into him again. I wonder what made this happen, coincidence?, fate? Am i supposed to DO somethin g? (besides move)...thanks to all for your guidance

My friend died young, and at his wake, the funeral home played a mix cd of songs that were evocative of my friend. Many were sentimental and soulful. But someone snuck Biz Markie's "Just a Friend (Baby You Got What I Need)"

Everytime that damn song came on we all fell out laughing. It was a sweet moment of joy in a time of agony. It ws a brilliant move by his sister to include that song.

What song(s) would you want played at your wake, funeral, or memorial? It can be sappy, funny, whistful, or whatever.

Me:

*Tear Jerker song: "One" sung by Mary J. Blige and U2

*Uplifting song: "Dirt Off Your Shoulders" by Jay-Z

*LOL song: "Sister Christian by Night Ranger (Motorin! What's your price for light?) - It's an inside joke with my friends because I love the movie "Boogie Nights" so much.

If a person had a baby and that baby grew up and rebelled against them, rejected them, and made it clear they wanted nothing to do with them would it be right for that person to slowly boil the rebelling person, that they "created", in oil for the next week? If this is wrong, and obviously it is, then how is it right for God, who "is love" to create a person and then when that person rejects Him burn him/her in a "lake of fire' for eternity?

I am not trying to judge or criticize in any way! But why do you, if you do, feel you have the RIGHT religion and think all the others are wrong?? How do you know? Or do you? Is it right to say the other religions are wrong? They probably feel the same about your religion, that yours is wrong and theirs is right. It is like a never ending cycle of... I cant think of the right word...
