I think all the book religion who have used their religion as a reason for the wars, hatred and killings. I think that there would be no real good prosecutor because they would go for whatever religion they were raised with. Children would probably be the best since they have yet to be fully influenced by organized book religions.... Though some start early! It does seem like a good idea.

As a Christian, there is much that troubles me about Christianity, and I feel that throughout history there are examples where one could make a case against Christianity. One case in particular would be that of anti-Semitism, which appears from the time of the New Testament. Another would be the attitude towards other religions, and the violence carried out against them, such as the Crusades.

And the prosecutor? That would be Jesus.

..... ALL religions would go on trial for ALL have at some point or another misused and misrepresented the name of GOD, (or the god they serve) as a means to politically advance or colonize a nation, with the premise of conversion to that said religion.

God gives people free will and choice, therefore if you don't want to know Him... he isn't going to hold a gun (or sword) to your head till you change your mind......

In the event of such a trial....God Himself would be prosecution, judge.... and yes, even the defense attorney (as HE is an unusually benevolent, unequaled in compassion, gracious and merciful God.) ........... but consider it the courtroom of eternity.... where Father, Son and Holy Spirit do the prosecuting, defending and judging!

Buddhists would be the prosecutors, as they believe that all paths to enlightenment are correct for each individual.

The defendants would be Christianity and Islam, and the crime would be TERRORISM - using violence or threats of violence (eternal torture in Hell anyone?) to further a political or religious goal.

The antichrist religions or the antisemetic ones.

Jesus Christ & the Kingdom of God does prevail over the evil religions & evil humanity, so will just the quickened and the dead.

Since Jesus was a victim of the worst of mankinds sins, torturing an innocent man to death, Jesus is also the judge of those who do this worst of sins.

And who would be the judge?
Who separates what was religious crimes from cultural crimes? Where is the division between church and state?

It may be a hypothetical question, but it's one not really worth asking.
