in a world where people are starving , children are orphaned , wars , droughts , murders , bombings etc etc etc
why is hatred directed at people who just happen to love the same sex ?
this is so tiresome and just goes round and round in circles
people are who they are
if you are so filled with passion and making this world a good place....
there are better ways of doing so than trying to sort out peoples relationships, especially when said people are quite happy in an adult loving relationship

Of course they can't stop with the judgemental behavior and hatred. They're behaving from causes and conditions that they're used to, learning altruism, wisdom and compassion means letting go of grasping and attachment to one's ego, or sense of "self", which includes our own opinions of our own ideas. (sigh)
Here's to hoping they do cultivate altruism, compassion and wisdom...

Yes, I totally agree. Unfortunately, I am afraid the hatred is going to go on for quite some time. Yahoo has been posting some highlighted questions lately on Gay issues. I could not believe how many people were saying such nasty things, and what was even more sad, was that they got WAY more thumbs up for saying anti-gay things than thumbs down. I was shocked. I knew there would be a lot of that, but I didn't expect to see quite THAT much of it.
Even if you don't believe it is right, you cannot change the mind of the people who choose to love someone of the same gender. But you CAN make a difference in these other problems you listed. I hope your plea will do some good, Pangel! But I'm afraid it may not. sigh.

Society today is slowly adapting. Each state is changing their laws regarding gray rights. You actually hear the negativity from most of your christian societies because of the Bibles direction and laws. You have to realize that these old school individuals will soon be long gone and society itself will change again as more and more grays come out of the closet.
People are already figuring out that grays are just the same as any other person just like the deal over racism. It changes slowly over the years.
I believe a person has a right to chose who they want to love and spend their life with. What ever makes them happy is what they should stick to and if anyone is against that then you have the right not to associate with that person.
Hate is a very serious crime and usually someone gets hurt or killed. It is a shame we have to live with individuals like this, all we can do is pray for those individuals who have nothing but hate in their hearts.

Its just that in this place we live in there happens to be people who dont know whether they'll live to see another day cause theyre so poor and ill. I bet they dont even have the strength to answer questions like these.
All i know is that i wouldnt want my child growing up with two mums/two dads.

male homosexuals molest young boys. i was molested by a homosexual man when i was 9 years old.and a lot of catholic boys were molested by homosexual priest,there are a lot more boys that were molested if we would all admit it.

So very well said, Pangel, and I agree . . . love is hard enough to find in this world without worrying about or disparaging where someone else has found THEIRS.
I'm pretty much "relentlessly straight"---though there was this cute lil' redheaded guy back in my Navy days that I'd have done in a *heartbeat*---but I know my own orientation is an inborn trait, not a "choice" . . . I assume it is much the same for everyone. Do we hate artists, musicians, and athletes for their natural talents? Do we hate the deaf, blind, or crippled for their disabilities? Hate the tall for their height, the blond for their hair color?
It just makes no sense. Don't we all have bigger issues to worry about?

Sadly too many people are not interested or care about the person standing next to them. They have no intersest in anybody but themselves and resent those who do better, are below them or look different.
Its all to easy to attack what we don't understand, because its a lot harder to stop and learn. And it seems even harder that people cannot accept love for another human being with conditions being applied regardless of their sexuality, gender or religion.
Who these people love and care for, it don't matter. But I question how many of these bigots would accept the help of a gay person if they were in time of need..... they would see the person, not their sexuality.
As a hetrosexual, I accept people for who they are, a person.

Love is the only choice that can stop the hatred these people feel towards something they fear.
That however is a choice many so called loving people aren't willing to make.
I believe these haters are thinking they aren't doing wrong by hating!

Hate is a strong word.
I don't think anyone here hates the person who practices homosexuality. But if I was going in the wrong direction, I sure would hope someone cared enough about me to tell me the truth rather than have someone gloss over my actions so they can look good and kind.
Your point is well taken. I am tired of the subject too.

Just look at the answers in this thread - they think it's a choice, and that's the problem. The gay people I know personally all arrived at a conclusion about the crushing inevitability of their sexuality during adolescence - there was no way they had a choice in the matter.

Homosexuality is found in all species of animals,so is no less natural than heterosexuality.Why are so many people obsessed about sex whether straight or gay?It's only a small part of our lives,albeit a very enjoyable one,but it's all a lot of people seem to be able to think about!
