Is this a large problem in America? Is there something bad about stealing a bible from a hotel.

Steal a bible from a hotel?? LOL! Who in their right mind would steal that crap? I go for the towels and mini-toiletries myself....

I thought the Bibles were put there by the Gideons so poeple WOULD take them. I used to work housekeeping as a teen and that was what they told me when I made a comment about having to reorder Bibles all the time. They said that was great!

Well for one thing, you have to repent the sin of stealing the bible from the motel and ask God if he would fogive you for stealing it

I almost had to stop myself from laughing out loud.
I think, inherently, the Gideon Society wants people to take their Bibles home. I mean, how else are you going to spread the Word, right?

Actually the Gideons want you to leave the bible for the next person. Theft doesn't seem to be a big enought problem to make their FAQ.
