Some people don't believe in God because we can't see him. If one day God showed himself, would you believe in him?

Won't happen, so I won't even entertain the thought. The reason people believe in God is that they don't know what is out there so they must "make up" something to comfort them and explain the unknown.

If God never showed himself would you not believe in him?

i don't need to see to believe. I've never seen my lungs, but I know that they're there. If one day the Lord came on earth I would believe it because I've always believed in Him before. People you don't believe because they can't see would probably think it's fake since they don't have the faith in the first place.

I don't need God come out and show himself because I already believe in him. It's all a matter of faith you have in him. Just because something is not visible doesn't mean it exists. Like air...we can't see it...but it helps us survive...that's how God is.

Yes, because I believe in the Lord now even thought I do not see Him

I think that the real question is: Would anyone believe that it's really God? How would you decide that you're looking at the real deal and not just a phony?

Plenty of people have declared themselves to be a god. So if someone claimed to be god, I would believe they existed as a person, but I would not believe they were a god.

If God SHOWED himself, and I saw him...I'd have to make sure it wasn't projected, an urban myth, some damned cologne ad, or another icon.

(I don't even believe in people...)

No I wouldn't. I would know him. You don't just believe in something that you can see and hear. You know without a doubt. Just like Joseph Smith.
