Pagans have a harder time getting religious holidays off from work.

I know this question was directed towards Muslims and Christians, and hope you do not mind that I am answering as one of the Pagans.

I think that when it comes to ANY religion or spirituality that you need to really be serious about your studies of it before jumping in. I can not speak for all Pagan's but many of us believe that you should not follow blindly, that you SHOULD do your research before committing to something as important as a religion or a spirituality.

It is this very research and learning that is the basis of the "One year and One Day" time in the religion of WICCA. That time is meant to be a time of study, a time of growth and reflection, a time to find out if you are serious about the path or not. To be honest, most KNOW in their soul long before a year and day is up.

I think that if you have an interest in some or one of the Pagan type faiths that you at least owe it to yourself ot investigate it, find out more aobut it and the practices and the people that practice it. Just by learning about it, it does not mean you HAVE to 'convert' to it.

I will tell you that even though I know some very wonderful Christians and Jews, some of the most friendly folks I have ever met have been fellow Pagan's.

Not only are most Pagan's willing to help any way they can in a time of need, but they enjoy gathering just to enjoy life, but they are serious about the environment, and tolerance of religion as well as of sexual prefrences and race.

I hope that before you allow a Christian or Muslim to scare you off with the threat of "hell" a concept which most Pagan's do not even believe in, that you will do the research for your self, ask questions and learn more.

Good luck and best wishes.

Pagans worship idols. If you believe in Islam or Christianity, you don't believe in worshipping idols. You can do as you wish though, it's really your choice.

Edit: My apologies, this is what I found about Pagans:

Q: What do Pagans believe in?
A: Pagan beliefs are very, VERY varied. Some pagan beliefs, which are widespread, but certainly not universal, are:
Reincarnation and karma
A belief in magic
Desires to revere, honor, and respect the Earth as a sacred being. Many pagans are environmental activists.
Polytheism; the belief in many deities. Also, many pagans belief that Divinity is manifest and inherent in everything in the universe (pantheism)
A belief that the animal world and Nature is filled with gods and spirits (animism)
Many pagans believe that although Divinity is genderless, it is convenient to worship Divinity in both a masculine and feminine form. Hence, many pagans worship both the God and the Goddess. Here is my source:

So, to sum it up, they can believe almost anything but often believe in more than one God or god-figure. Islam is completely mono-theistic and most of Christianity believes in the Trinity.

1. Pagan here.. no problems getting off on holidays. I simply have to tell my boss ahead of time.. have NEVER had a problem with that.

2. We do NOT worship idols.

Still haven't seen a good reason why you shouldn't yet.

Muslims believe in that all the Prophets (upon them peace) preached two things, monotheism and prophet-hood. Monotheism is the first belief and the last and the final version of monotheism is Islam coupled with the Prophet-hood of the final messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). That's why.

Yes. Because salvation is only through Christ. Sanctification only through the Holy Spirit. Justification only through God.
