Your confusion was hinted at in your saying "whoever doesn't believe in him will be in hell." The Bible states that even the demons believe in God - and shudder. Plenty of people believe in God's existence too. But that does not move them to put their trust in God alone and to worship him. So hell will hold many who actually believe in the reality of God.
God protects very well indeed. All his children know that. In turn, they act to protect the honor of his name. It's not 'their religion' they are bothered about, but the Person of God and his holiness, his truthfulness, his dependability. I hope that lessens your confusion.

You know, it took me a little while to realize that God is quite capable of defending and proving Himself. The rest of what I usually talk about is information that I hope will clarify, as I've done a lot of work to clarify just exactly what do I believe in. Part of what I've learned is that my relationship with God is a living thing. It grows, matures and changes. It's exciting, and I enjoy discussing it.
Blessed Be

I can see where you would be confused. Your question is confusing. I dont feel the need to protect my religion. God protects us. Non-believers seem to place a lot of emphasis on going to hell. If you dont believe, then you probably dont believe in hell either. Why do you feel the need to challange believers with your theories?

God gives us chance after chance to change. God protects us from the bad elements but he expects respect from his followers/children. So he expects us to stick up for him. You may or may not know this but for the most part the people who believe in God we view him as our parent our BIG parent. So if someone was making fun of your father or mother wouldn't you stick up for them???

you are supposed to believe without seeing. The bible explains it all. If you have to see before believeing than you must be a realist of some sort (Not the good kind of realist).

You do not protect your religion for the sake of G-d. You protect your religion for the sake of your family, your people, your heritage, and the love for your faith.
Would you protect your parents because they know you, like you know yourself? No, you would protect your parents because they are a part of your life, because you love them, and because they belong to your "clan". Well, religion is like a clan and you want to protect members from your clan.

I agree.
I am not here to defend the faith.
I am here to explain and teach about my faith.
With love in Christ.
