Is it entirely possible that stuff like this happens not because God allows it, but rather that he simply CANNOT prevent it. Could it be that the reason Satan (Lucifer) exists is that God simply does not have the power to banish him...so instead we are led to believe that he actually allows it. Perhaps God is not the almighty one that is so advertised!

The ability to blind a person to his ego failing with praise, and then to service his growing weakness and "save" him from guilt with false affection-this is the instrument of power for those who are sufficiently ruthless to use it. And this is the power that corrupts the corrupter absolutely

NOW MAYBE YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW SILLY YOU SOUND

1. Evolution is a fact because we're here

2. The proof that monkeys and humans have a common ancestry is human's existence

3. I know God is fake because I feel it in my heart

4. Christians have to be evil because they need a book to tell them not to be evil

5. How could you believe in God? IT'S JUST A THEORY
(This is what Christians say about evolution)

6. You may not believe in the tooth fairy but she still loves you

7. I know the tooth fairy's real. Someone smacked me in the mouth and my teeth didn't fall out. She saved me

I think it’s more simple to have a relationship with Jesus than what we try to read into the Bible.
Jesus loves us, we love each other. Simple.
Were it gets screwed up is humans read to much into the Bible.
Why don’t we as humans trust Jesus? And do what he asks us.
Is it because we are SO flawed?
I think ALL mans religions makes humans want to hate, it teaches hate. And then they side steps it by saying in “GOD’s name” They say things like “we are the true way to Jesus” What a farce!
WHY?

In my opinion, I don't think you go to heaven OR hell...Scientific law says that energy CANNOT be destroyed. In that sense, isn't our brain a whole truck-load of energy? Therefore, your own energy cannot be destroyed. What do you think happens to that energy? I personally think that it is released as soon as you die, and becomes a part of another human being, or a new born baby. That could also prove why some people are born with talent, for the "energy" from another deceased person with that SAME talent could have somehow been integrated with the child's own brain. So in a sense, you can live on through your LEGACY, your children, and the people you have received your own special talent. I know this is a lot to think about for some teenager, yet it is something that I think about a lot. Therefore, I would like to hear others opinions about my theory. I guess this isn't a direct question, but it would be nice if other's perspective was heard.

~Thanks

Some of what people replied sounds like the kinda crud the church used to tell the peasants in the middle ages to keep them under control, and unambitious so they could feel good about their crappy lives.

If everything is preordained and god has intended for me to do what I do the way I do it and when I do it, what is the point? Then I am just a puppet on a string and he is responsible for all my actions. Why do we then punish people? Maybe this god and satan philosophy is for weak people who are unable to take responsibility for their own decisions. Use your own logic and reasoning ability to not be sheep and follow your herder in to the slaughterhouse of the eternal damnation of being a fool who believes in fairy tails.

What do you think of this quote?

"Within a century after the death of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) the Muslims not only conquered new lands, but also became scientific innovators with originality and productivity. They hit the source ball of knowledge over the fence to Europe. By the ninth century, Islamic medical practice had advanced from talisman and theology to hospitals with wards, doctors who had to pass tests, and the use of technical terminology. The then Baghdad General Hospital incorporated innovations which sound amazingly modern. The fountains cooled the air near the wards of those afflicted with fever; the insane were treated with gentleness; and at night the pain of the restless was soothed by soft music and storytelling. The prince and pauper received identical attention; the destitute upon discharge received five gold pieces to sustain them during convalescence.

I have a theory that the Ancient Egyptians influenced to a large degree the creation of the first five books (the Torah) of the Old Testament. The Jews lived there for over 400 years before the books were written by Moses, and it seems like such a powerful civilization would have had some influence on Judaism. I'd also think that the 10 Commandments probably originated in Egypt.

Acording to the Bible (the Book of Revelation) We read that during the seven year tribulation period. How a man (the antichrist) will rise first, as a man of peace for the frist 3 1/2 years. Then, at the start of the last 3 1/2 years he takes on the Beast of Revelation. During this time he controls the world economy and religions.

In regards to religions.

All who refuse to worship him and his image is put to death.

Other words; It's convert or die!

Does this not sound like extreme (notice I said extreme) Islam of today? Where they are even killing their own?

Could extreme Islam be the religion of the Antichrist?

A loving person would help those in need without anyone asking. Yet god only saves those who ask for it. So is a loving god not the same as a loving person. Is a loving god something that only helps those that follow him? Wouldnt that be considered selfish and unloving?

They say they don't believe in God therefore they would feel nothing. That to me however is just blind ignorance to the truth that's staring them right in the face. Can anyone really be that ignorant? I mean just look around, can this world not be any more made for us to live on? It seems to good to be true for this just to have happened...

Either way I think atheists like to think they have some sort of power over god when they say they don't accept Him. What do you think?

For example:
AT one time the world was flat, and that was called divine inspiration. The church bodies at that time said God himself had proclaimed this, and science was heresy.

The LDS church would not let blacks be priesthood holders until sometime later in the 1970's when man's views of racial tolerance changed, coincidentally, so did God's. It was decreed as a vision from God that blacks could suddenly have priesthood rites, where before they were less than human, and could not.

The Catholic church was adamantly against divorce. Now divorce is fine if you go through the right channels of forgiveness, and of course pay the priests to have a tribunal. (around $370)

It seems God changes as Man changes. How do people explain this away? Doesn't it PROVE God does not exist? Don't feed me any of that bull about God giving certain rites to those who are more prepared, blah blah. Surely SOMEONE can see that this is man-made and anyone indicating otherwise will always have excuses

OK Creationists, another problem zinging your way with love.

Why does God make the Universe appear to be old if it really isn't?

Is it a trick? Does your God go out of his way to trick his own Creation?

Imagine this scenario:
Through the use of enzymes and hormones, scientists working with human embryos manage to suppress expression of already coded for traits, or magnify the expression of other traits already coded for in such a way that they were able to reproduce all hominid ancestors proposed by the theory of evolution.

In other words, they were able to experimentally reproduce all "cavemen" and other prehistoric apes and hominids in the human phylogenetic tree; they made neanderthals, cro magnons, homo erectus, etc. entirely from modern human DNA.

If they were able to do this, how many of you who do not believe the theory of evolution would change your minds? Why or why not?

For the sake of argument, let's pretend that the experiment was shown to be flawless, valid, and repeatable. What would this mean?
