You cannot by your own logic and reasoning ability find God out. All you can do is find that God exists and is the Creator.
To find out Who God is and what He is like and to come to know Him and not just know about Him requires Him to reveal Himself.
This He has done, objectively by giving us His word, the Bible, and subjectively to those to whom He has further revealed Himself through His word.
Since the Jews and Christians have the Bible, God's word, they can to a greater or lesser extent know what God wants for you.
The Muslims do not have God's word and so out of envy have made up their own writings and so can have no better idea than what their own reason and logic or wild imaginings can muster, except in so far as they are influenced by what they have taken from the Bible.
Your question really relates to a kind of fatalism which claims to absolve you from responsibility, something very far from what the Bible reveals and teaches.
God is not some mindless, uncaring watchmaker or puppet master, and neither does He want you to be an automaton or a puppet. That is a more appropriate description of what Satan now is and wants. But you are being weak when run away from your responsibilities by claiming that kind of fatalism and from refusing to face up to the revelation of your miserable lost estate.
Indeed the opposite of what you say is true, as even your reasoning and logic should tell you, that those unable to take responsibility, run away and cannot face the true revelation of their sin, its origin and and cause. Further the revelation of God's most tender hearted love and concern and care for His fallen creation appears like fairy tales because it sounds too good to be true - our experience in this fallen world has never known anything so good, except perhaps in our daydreams. Yet God really is absolutely good, far beyond our understanding. Again use your reason and logic, if God is perfect then He must be that good. It is Satan who tries to obscure God's goodness and misrepresent God and His love and mercy and uses lies to gain your consent to your destruction.
It is precisely because man was not a robot or a puppet on a string that he has fallen in the first place. Ironically you are now, through sin, in bondage to sin, and so have become a puppet to the Devil, or Satan as you rightly call him - Satan means Adversary.
It is this very bondage, through sin, to the Devil that God is willing to deliver you from. Use your logic and reasoning, what would be the best way for the Devil, out of spite and hatred, to keep you in this bondage and darkness, ensnared in the judgement that he is destined to suffer? Why to lead you away from God's revelation to be independent and to leave you in your own reason and logic, for that by itself can never deliver you.
The way Satan fell through pride and self love and independence from God is the way he tempted man originally, and is the way he tempts and leads you now. What has worked before he uses still. He lied then and lies now.
Look at the mess of this world. All the pain and misery and suffering, all the lying and cheating and wrongdoing, the murders and violence - I could go on - is this not the best evidence of Satan and his work? Without the Fall of man none of this could be. If Evolution were true then reason demands that man would always do what was best and right, not all this harm and wrongdoing and mistreatment that threatens even his very destruction through war or pollution.
It is a great irony that man loudly disputes the existence of God when the evidence for Satan and the Fall is overwhelmingly obvious!
It is you who is being led by a herder to the slaughter house of damnation.
It is you who is the fool to the god of this world's court.
Turn now to God and see if these things be so. Call out to Him to show you. Bring your logic and reason to Him and let Him answer you. Examine His word and let Him speak.
God will not be mocked, but if you are genuine He will not turn you away. Christ promises that the one who comes to Him He will in no wise cast out.
You would not be the first, others have found these things so, and you will not be the last.
It is not for nothing that the Bible tells us that the whole world lies in wickedness and that the old serpent called the Devil, and Satan, deceives the whole world.
The Bible tells us that this was the purpose that the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy (undo) the works of the Devil. To those who continue in His word, Christ promises them to know the truth and that the truth shall make them free.

So, all Christians, Jews, and Muslims .......did you take a poll?
I think the fact that there are so many people of different backgrounds, different ethnicities, and different geographical areas who believe in God, shows there may be something to it.
I myself don't believe for a second that God has preordained any of this....or it would have turned out much better than it has. I only know one Christian denomination that does believe in predestination, and that would be of the Calvinist denomination. I think you are right in questioning that theory because it just doesn't hold water. A God I can trust is one who lets me be me and make my own decisions. I am a Christian and because I have seen what happens in a life who opens the door to God, I am able to love Him and try to do what He would have me do, so that the rest of the world doesn't have to suffer my uninformed choices.

Why do we think we know? If they are like me, they have ASKED....and got an answer.
Believe me.....I have been a Christian since I was 3 or 4 and started talking to my Father God....reborn since I was in my mid teens....walking in the Spirit since (lol don't remember exactly when) and I am now 51 years of age.
Through it all, I have gone from adolescence to the near end of menopause.....have erred, been forgiven too numerous times to count....and could have thrown it all away at any time because it was my choice to do so.
You're not the first person to think of "puppets" for Christians or for those whom are not....it's just that between the 2 main figures whom ask for control, I personally prefer that the one I call "Master" is the one whom I would miss the most if I lost Him.....my Father God and His Son and Holy Spirit., and whom has shown me He is the same now as He has always been and always will be.
May you find peace. :)

Amazing how many of these religious ones always seem to KNOW what God wants them to do EVEN if it's MURDER. Much of these beliefs ARE fairy tales meant to make the LAZY rich, and HAVE. There IS a TRUE faith in god in heaven but just as you stated, this God EXPECTS his own to use their OWN brains in a responsible manner. It is also the God of the BEGINNING, and Father of Yezua/Yeshua. (Jesus) Despite the hypocrisy and deceptions of so many, Jesus was NEVER of the Jewish faith, but WAS the "divine babe" foretold in prophesy by a priest of the Old Kingdom. His name was "Nu," and lived around the time the pyramids at Giza were built. Egyptian faith taught, that we only get out of life what we put into it and God in heaven doesn't want BEGGARS or those who sponge off others. Seems to be the ways of all these modern religions doesn't it?.......

Mmm, not sure they all think that. But from some of the q&a on here you'd think so. If god exists, how can he punish me for being a non believer when he gave me the power of logic and rational thought.
You don't have to be a believer to be a good person.

Perhaps not all, but yes, I know the ones you're talking about. There's a group of bigoted, egotistical, know-it-all's out there who think they're better than every body else, and will let you know it too, often aggressively. Some are religious, some atheists, work colleagues, impatient drivers, etc...But whatever they might be, they are "all" hurting and afraid inside.
Afraid of what, though?... Oh, but I mean it. Fear is crippling.
and we're "all" afraid of something. What are you afraid of?

you're surprising, you will locate happiness in existence without needing want of God on your existence. many human beings delight in economic wealth, a loving kin, and few issues in existence. although, regardless of how lots happiness you have surprising now, your existence could be greater relaxing with God in it. understanding God makes a large distinction. think of of it like this. driving a tricycle seems relaxing to a new child, yet later if that youngster grows up and drives a Porsche, the tricycle seems exceptionally boring. you could think of you have have been given all you could ever want in existence, yet understand which you would be saying that from the attitude of somebody driving a tricycle. Jesus reported that He might desire to fulfill desires in us that no longer the rest can fulfill (John 4:13-14; 6:35). this is because of the fact we are actually not purely actual beings, we are non secular beings additionally. purely God can fulfill our non secular starvation and thirst thoroughly. And mutually as we would be happy without God, this is with the help of using understanding God that we could have genuine excitement, fulfillment and peace. and there is likewise the question of eternity. What in the journey that your limited time in the international is a time of sorting out from God? A attempt to regardless of if or no longer you will come to understand Him? if so, how are you doing on that examination? Are you (because it says in Romans a million) "suppressing" the certainty of God? Do you spot the info for His existence all around you, yet are actually not desirous to understand Him? What in case you in no way receive God into your existence? properly, as you have pronounced, you likely can delight in some large reward of this existence. yet understand that for you it is going to end here, because of the fact you have chosen to reject God. you have customary the present (your existence), yet rejected the Giver. What if God hasn't even shown off yet, yet has so lots greater innovative issues planned for the subsequent existence? for people who have not rejected Him? What if that existence surpasses this existence even greater advantageous than using a Porsche surpasses driving a tricycle? in case you have rejected God, then you definately is in basic terms no longer there to ascertain it.

I have a very personal relationship with God and have learned from experience that He is very real. I have also learned however that religions...whatever they might be.... are made by man...not by God.
Because of that relationship, I do know what God wants from me....but the most clear instruction that he has given me is to NOT try to tell others what He wants from them. Each person must know Him for themselves. He has told me that He will or has called everyone but that it is up to them as to whether they choose to answer His call or not.

Everything is not preordained. You have choices, as you said you have to choose for yourself. God knows the outcome but you get to decide. I believe that if you can't see the good and evil around you then you are blind. Look around you and you will see the difference, and you and I are part of it!
