In my opinion, I don't think you go to heaven OR hell...Scientific law says that energy CANNOT be destroyed. In that sense, isn't our brain a whole truck-load of energy? Therefore, your own energy cannot be destroyed. What do you think happens to that energy? I personally think that it is released as soon as you die, and becomes a part of another human being, or a new born baby. That could also prove why some people are born with talent, for the "energy" from another deceased person with that SAME talent could have somehow been integrated with the child's own brain. So in a sense, you can live on through your LEGACY, your children, and the people you have received your own special talent. I know this is a lot to think about for some teenager, yet it is something that I think about a lot. Therefore, I would like to hear others opinions about my theory. I guess this isn't a direct question, but it would be nice if other's perspective was heard.

~Thanks

Thats a really interesting theory. I believe in heaven and hell but i think that heaven and hell is what you make of it. My opinion is that if you believe your going to heaven when you die, you will. If you believe that you cease to exist after death then that is it. Who really knows though.

I think you are right about some people coming back again as a new person. Here is what I think happens when we die. No one has to agree with me. I believe that when we die we are surrounded by God. I believe that God is Love and when we are surrounded by Love (God) in this way that is will be extremely humbling and we will be compelled to ask forgiveness for our shortcomings. I believe that God, who is merciful, will forgive us. At this point I think that some people will end up going back to be reborn to try to live a better life than the one they lived before, but I think other people will live with God and become part of the energy that is Love. I haven't decided yet whether or not we have the choice to live our lives over again or if God does because I do believe that He is all forgiving and that he loves us unconditionally, but I don't know why someone would want to be reborn when they could experience unconditional infinite love for the rest of eternity. I think some people must come back because there are some people who just have old souls. I also think animals have souls and that they too either come back again or stay in "heaven."

I would have to say I like your theory. Maybe the energy does go out and affect others. There was a ST Voyager episode where when a person died, their energy went out to a buffer around the planet that protects the planet (like an ozone layer). I am not sure about one energy becoming another baby. Sounds like the changeling's link from DS9. Sorry, gotta love the Trek stuff. I think you are onto something. I would recommend the movie What the Bleep do We Know? It is awesome and connects with your line of thinking!

oooooooooooo thats a deep question. i ponder that myself. my aunt just past away on thursday and i was thinking about the end result. i mean is heaven or hell -real or is the bible just made up to keep humans to stay in line.
when we die do our souls leave our bodies and we join the other souls.
when we die, do we get all our questions answered by god?
i use to think that when we die we could go to heaven and replay all the dreams that we have ever had. its crazy.
and about talents. look i am very talented and want to do so many things and im capable of doing them but its confusing.
and have u noticed that when someone passes away a child is born. its odd. does that person's life go to that child???
now that energy thing u are talking about i havent heard anything about. i never thought about the scientific side of it. only the biblical side but im open for disccusion.
i lay in my bed the other day thinking about what would happen when we die. will we know it seconds b4 we die. is that the end of life? what happens? do we come back as people, animals or anything at all?
u know how some people are better looking than others. does that mean that out souls look that much better or do we all look the same. do our souls have faces??? do we even have a skin color or do we all just look the same.
also i thought about how there are other places in the galaxy that have life on them. what if we died and we went str8 to that planet????
are aliens advanced humans that dies b4 us and got sent to other places and they come back to earth to get members of their fams????
Its all intrguing yet scarey when u get deep. i dont have to be HIGH to think this deep. i really want to know but im not in a rush to die. life is too good.

lastly what about gay people. u know its genetic. it has nothign to do with choice. do they really have the wrong person with in them. it is punishment that they have the wrong "being" with in them that has a hunger for what it wants????

like me. i swear i have a fat old person trapped inside my yung little body but thats life i guess.

Yoooo, now I know I am not the only one thinking this idea.

Yep Yep, energy can't be destroyed.
Our mind(soul) is electronic type of energy that could travel. It's still exist after living thing die. There is a bit of weight lose when the person die ( I don't know whether energy could be measurable by weight ).

Once the mind abdon the physical body, the energy was travelling in the space to find another suitable physical body to start again (NEW LIFE).

As energy is not destroyable, properties of mind, like knowledge, sex portion, memory ( some claim they remember their previous life ) transferred to new physical body.

There where we come in, talent or genius or disorder.

So on.....

It's the slight modify version of Buddha's Abhidamma Philosophical. There Buddha has mentioned that our mind has speed of 3THz.

Here I asked about MIND

Had any scientist has proved that MIND exist in all living thing

Well I'm a Hindu and I know that Hindus believe in reincarnation - a belief that the soul is eternal and lives many lifetimes, in one body after another. The soul is sometimes born in a human body, sometimes in an animal body and sometimes in a plant body, etc.. Hindus believe that all forms of life contain a soul, and all souls have the chance to experience life in different forms.

The Hindu tradition perceives the existence of cyclical nature of the universe and everything within it. The cosmos follows one cycle within a framework of cycles. It may have been created and reach an end, but it represents only one turn in the perpetual "wheel of time", which revolves infinitely through successive cycles of creation and destruction. Within this cycle of creation and destruction of the universe, the soul (atman) also follows its own version of cycle called samsara, the cycle of rebirth in which individual souls are repeatedly reincarnated.

If you read Bhagvad Gita as it is,you'll get all the answers! From God Himself...

Briefly, hellish conditions exist:one has just to take a plane to Iraq, and stay there.Such places are full of anxiety, hate, ignorance, fights etc....and there are planets where such conditions are worse!
Those who deserve such destiny, will have to be sent there:suppose you are addicted to food, produced in a hellish place[slaughterhouse]while you can easily convert to veg life, the scriptures of India say that you will have to experience the same sufferings that these animals undergo:such is God's justice! And it's logical, and not sadistic at all:it's the best way to learn,if one is stubborn to understand.
But intelligent persons, just by knowing such facts, immediately stop such activities, repent, and lead a new life, full of joy and care more for other lesser entities of lesser intelligence. It's the real meaning of be "re-born"!
Christian teachings say that we have oly one life, but cannor explain why there are different births:one rich, another poor etc...but Indian philosophy teaches that it's just to balance the past life...logical..

Actually, the evidence indicates that all of the electrical energy in your brain dissipates into heat. However, there's still a lot we don't know about this, so an afterlife is certainly possible, it's just highly dubious.

Nice ideas!
But really no one knows, not even you Johnny. I would say that if we're here to just die and rot in a hole, why not just go kill ourselves right now? Right? .. i mean, what's the difference? As a Catholic i am obligated to believe all that heaven/hell stuff, but the truth is no one really knows. As for ur question directly i have no definate opinion.

If we have received Jesus' gift of eternal life, by acknowledging that we're a sinner and believe that He died on the cross and rose three days later, then we'll go to Heaven to be with Him forever in paradise. If not, then, as uncomfortable it is to hear, we go to hell, which is eternal separation from Him, in pain and agony.
I have accepted Jesus' free gift of Life, and I can stand here today and say without any doubts that I am going to heaven to meet my Lord and Savior one day!

Your scenario is a good one. I think we can only speculate, but there are people who have had near-death experiences and made some important inferences from them. I have myself.

I think we review the most recent life in the context of our higher selves, where it becomes clear what spiritual lessons we needed to learn this time around. And then evaluate what lessons we still need to learn, choose new parents, and off we go into the next great adventure.

Next time, I'm not going to let myself get fat!
