We always imagine our invisible imaginary friends to be friendly to us, even adoring us. You ever know a child who had an imaginary friend who was trying to kill him?

Well, free will. God decided that He wants us to choose Him not Him just scooping us all into heaven. He wants us to choose to love him as much as He loves us. But God is asking if we want His love and help. Look at the cross, His arms are wide open for you to come to Him. I mean, if you were God and every person rebelled against you, called themselves more important than you, and did everything that you didn't like, would you give them everything in a basket? He suffered and died for you to remove the barrier between Him and you a. k. a. sin. What more could you want?
God Bless,
Elisha

Yes it is a question that seems to freely roll off the lips of the unrighteous. Where is God in the face of all the suffering and unrest going on in the world today? Despite all the science and technology, peace has eluded our lands. But the question remains, where is God when we really need Him?
Is He really all loving and merciful, if so why does He only help out the ones who ask Him?
Do not think for a moment that God is not grieving over the sorry state of His created world and His creations, either Christian and non-Christians. But the sad reality is we have been telling Him to get out and quit interferring in our daily lives. We've told Him to get out of our schools, now all we hear and see in our schools is gunshots and tears. We've kicked Him out of our governments and out of our individual lives.God being the gracious Being that He is, gracefully and calmly backed out of our lives. How can we expect God to give us blessings and protection if we demand that He leave us alone?
When Madeline O'Hare complained that she did not want any prayers to be prayed in our schools, the Supreme Courts backed her up, little did she know what would happen next. Someone else came up with, we don't want the Bible to be preached in our schools, they thought that the scripture " Thou shall not kill " and " Thou shall not steal " was too harsh a subject to be learnt.
Dr. Benjamin Spock was another expert in our affairs and expert in child psychology. He said we should not spank our children when they misbehave because we could alter their personalities and warp their self-esteem. Dr. Spock later on committed suicide.
Next another human being came along and said, let us permit our daughters to have abortions if they want and they won't even have to tell their parents! Then some top elected officials said that, it doesn't matter what we do in our private lives as long as we do our jobs well and no one gets hurt.
And the list goes on and on, porn enters, entertainment industry goes free willey, satanism, corruption, and society says thats cool and its okay.
Now we ask ourselves why is it that our children have no conscience? Why does it not bother them to kill their classmates and anyone else who gets in their way? Why is it they throw their babies into dumpsters? Why is it that men are sleeping with men and women with women?
Perhaps if we think about these reasons long and hard, we can figure out and discover why God doesn't step in. Without any equivocation, it has to do with the " Law of Sowing and Reaping." We Reap what we Sow!
Does that answer your question? God Bless

I think those are false assumptions. We see in scripture a God who is concerned for the poor, the orphan and the widow. God also commands His people to be kind to the stranger dwelling in their midst. In the NT we see Jesus healing all those who come to him, gentile and Jew alike, and trying to teach people the the Kingdom of God is about loving our neighbor, and welcoming the outsider. Also, God calls people of faith to help those in need, so in a sense you could say that God helps others through us.

A loving God, gave His only Son to die for you. You don't have to ask anything, but believe Jesus is God. You are
arrogant and know nothing about the attributes of God. I feel
sorry for you.

God is loving but He is also a God of justice. You are, in essence saying, one who murders and rapes and steals and commits all kinds of wickedness and laughs at what he has done....well they should just be forgiven and go to heaven anyway if God is loving.
Excuse me but....that makes no sense at all.

God calls us...but we have to allow him to help us by answering Him. The fact that he gives us the choice to believe in Him or not explains why that statement is a fact. Could you help someone if he or she refused your help?

What religion are you referring to? God only helps those who asks for it? Then what is grace?

AHe gave us life.
He forgives our shortcomings....IF we are repentant.
But he does NOT forgive unconditionally.
If anyone continues to sin/disobey after being warned, they will be punished.
What parent keeps on putting up with bad behaviour? the child gets chastised.
God is our father and no different.
