Acording to the Bible (the Book of Revelation) We read that during the seven year tribulation period. How a man (the antichrist) will rise first, as a man of peace for the frist 3 1/2 years. Then, at the start of the last 3 1/2 years he takes on the Beast of Revelation. During this time he controls the world economy and religions.
In regards to religions.
All who refuse to worship him and his image is put to death.
Other words; It's convert or die!
Does this not sound like extreme (notice I said extreme) Islam of today? Where they are even killing their own?
Could extreme Islam be the religion of the Antichrist?

True the antichrsit is not used. The antichrist is the horse and rider of Chapter 6:2. The white horse is a representative of world condition.

PS: It's true that Nero adds up to 666. However, he was behind the death of Peter and Paul. It was Neros's predecessor Domintus, who had
John cast away as a prisoner, for preaching the Gospel of Jesus

your totaly wrong. there has only been one religion that fits the description of revelation. it also has a man as its head. It was in the year 538 A.D. that a decree of Emperor Justinian went into effect that assigned absolute preeminence to the Church of Rome. These are facts of history that can be verified by any authoritative historical source.
a total of 3 1/2 times, or 3 1/2 years, because 3 1/2 years is exactly equal to 1,260 days.
In Ezekiel 4:6 we read the actual rule, “I have appointed thee each day for a year.” Further support of this is found in Numbers 14:34. This method of reckoning time must always be applied in the study of Bible prophecy. This means, then, that the little horn power would rule for 1,260 years, instead of merely 1,260 days. the papacy received a dangerous blow when nepoleon's general imprisioned the pope. you'll see that this happenned exactly 1260 years later.
the papacy was a diverse kind of power from the other political kingdoms before it. It was a religio-political system quite unlike anything that had been seen in the world before that time.
now many here have been going on about the mark of the beast.
According to Revelation 13:17, the number of his name will also be the number of a man. Undoubtedly this refers to the man who heads the beast power. The ancient method of deriving the number of a name is to take the numerical value of all letters and add them up to get the sum.
This title is found repeatedly in the publications of Rome
Our Sunday Visitor, of April 1915“The letters inscribed in the pope’s miter are these; Vicarius Filii Dei, which is the Latin for ‘Vicar of the Son of God.’ Catholics hold that the Church, which is a visible society, must have a visible head; Christ, before His ascension into heaven appointed St. Peter to act as His representative. Hence, to the Bishop of Rome as head of the church, was given the title, ‘Vicar of Christ.’”
Notice how it is worked out below as each letter is given its numerical value:Vicarius Filii Dei. try thi out. add all the letters in theier roman numeral context giving the value of 1 to those that have no roman numeral countapart. whats your answer?666
Someone might object that this could be a coincidental occurrence. i grant that it is possible for such a thing to be a mere happenstance if i had only this one mark of identity to lean upon. But the fact is that this is the tenth of a long list of characteristic marks that the Bible uses to identify the beast power.
contact me if your still in doubt.

No, I don't think so, here is why. Islam did play an important role with the creation of Hitler, thus it may also be true with United States Inc. with the creation of Global Warming which is part of the beast. Global Warming is the religion of Governments both here and around the world. Global Warming by it's very nature, is in fact Nature Worship i. e... the beast. Islam's role is a diversion, to give the silly American people something to watch on one hand, while other hand works unnoticed. People need to understand that the people over there or anywhere else just like here believe only what they are told. They act accordingly. The Beast will not have the power he claims, think about it. If Satan was all powerful which he isn't, why doesn't Satan leave this planet. The answer is simple he can't, he lost his power are I should say his powers where taken by someone more powerful than him.

I don't get it. The number 666 adds up to Caesar Nero. The number 616, found in other Greek manuscripts, adds up to a different spelling of Caesar Nero. Chapter 17 of Revelation says that of the seven heads representing seven rulers of Rome (the city with seven hills) five had already fallen at the time the book was being written, and one now is (Caesar Nero). Could God have inspired a text that indicates any more clearly that this refers to the time in which the book was written and the immediate future of its original recipients? Why not read a decent commentary on Revelation instead of engaging in idle speculation with no foundation in the text? Perhaps these speculations of yours are the religion that is deceiving people - you won't know unless you take the time to learn something about the book.

I am not sure what you asked about Revelations. I would be happy to give you my beliefs, I am a post millennial. Most Christians today are pre. I don't tend to shy away from questions, however I do tend to not answer if I feel that someone is just wanting to make fun of the word, God, or my beliefs. I just don't have the desire to waste my time with that. Not that I am saying you are doing that, but why I may not answer a question that someone posts. The book that I was taught under was The symbols speak, by Dr. Lillie McCutcheon First Church of God, Anderson Indiana

OK so you are taking everything literally. Then shouldn't you also consider the 3 1/2 years of peace? I do not remember those years happening. If it happened before hasn't the 3 1/2 years of terror ran out? Also is Islam the world power of economy? I missed that too.
Get a grip on reality rather than prophecy.

It may sound similar but it is not the same.... For most religious scholars, Believes rather strongly that the Antichrist will be a European.... Because the Catholic Church plays such a big part in the Antichrist up-bringing and influence of power............ Someone from the Islam power of influences would be watched and not be trusted by the Catholic Church or by the western power of influences which includes all western European power bases... Plus you have to remember that the Antichrist rides in so to speak on the back of the Catholic Church..... Also remember the Antichrist would have to be white in order to be accepted by the white power base in order to gain any from of notoriety.... That means no one from the Islam power base would be allowed to do, But I do believe that the grevious wound that the Antichrist receives and survives will be delivered by someone of the Islam faith.....................................................

I have no reason to believe that to be a fact. But then, I don't know if the tribulation is a fact or whether it is man made dogma.
I have a very personal relationship with God and He has not led me to accept or reject either side at this point. When I question Him about the end...or whatever you want to call it...He just says "wait". This has happened several times.

Hmm, you need to read Revelation again.
The word "antichrist" never appears in the book. Not once.
There's beast, dragon, whore... but narry an antichrist to be seen.
Don't believe me? Look it up. I'll wait.

It is true that many events prophesized about in Revalations have been occurring over time, and your assumption could be correct. I don't have enough knowledge on that exact topic to say yes or no, but possibly.
