Have you noticed that in here some people don't read answers to questions, before chastising people and giving a negative reply?

Say someone asks Christians a question, the FIRST reply is someone saying "They don't like it, they are all narrow minded" etc etc and it's always the same people.

Wouldn't it be a bit better to actually READ some replies, get an understanding of how people actually feel, before making nasty accusatory assumptions?

Your forefathers created one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all. These were men of high ideals, spiritually guided and inspired to create a nation and a civilization to be admired and respected, to set an example for the rest of the world. In exercising their free will under God's guidance and direction, they created a Constitution and a Bill of Rights for every man, woman, and child to live in freedom in the pursuit of happiness. Yet these high-minded and spiritual men were soon replaced by others who, in the exercise of their free will, chose to put their egos before God and to joust with God's plan.

You became a nation of spoilers, man against man, brother against brother, government against citizens, and the chosen nation became a warrior with and against other nations. You have become a nation of criminals and murderers. You murder in wars. You murder the innocent. You murder your children. Your leaders create laws to justify the murders, to attempt to make wrongs right, to rewrite morals and ethics to support your own earthbound greed and desires.

You have become a nation further and further from the spirit and the influence of God. You have created sciences and philosophies to support activities that only recognize earthbound realities that not only refuse to recognize the spiritual nature of man himself, but refuse to recognize even the existence of God.

You have taken God and his works of prayer and meditation out of your government, out of your institutions, out of your schools. You have done everything you can to deny his existence, and you find yourselves in a world filled with wars, hatred, starvation, and death, and you do not understand why the rest of the world does not follow your shining example.

You are a nation at war with itself, filled with hatred, prejudice, crime, drugs, and murder. Yet when the few of you who do look to God ask him why all these things are allowed to happen, you do not hear his answer.

You are members of the human race, universally created by God and given free will individually by divine right, and you would not wish to have it any other way. Yet every little act of free will that man has exercised from the beginning of time that was not in accordance with God's plan, multiplied in its impact and its negativity on the future of man. Every simple act of aggression multiplied into acts of world war. Every simple act of greed multiplied into worldwide human suffering and starvation. Every act of destruction of God's environment on earth multiplied into destructive forces of nature - earthquakes, floods, pestilence, nuclear destruction and nuclear waste. Every act of violence escalated into acts of murder and the extermination of ethnic people for their appearance or beliefs.

Yet, God created a nation of high ideals for you to survive other empires and civilizations that crumbled into oblivion, for their leaders placed themselves as men above God, and now those empires and civilizations are but piles of dust or buried under the waters. You sit on the edge of the new millennium, poised for the future of humankind, and you are headed, like all great civilizations of the past, to be reduced to piles of dust, to be covered over by the waters.

Yet, God comes to you again, to appeal to you as a people, to appeal to you as a nation, to appeal to your leaders. His army of angels is visiting upon you with a life force of energy, a spiritual energy radiated by the Creator to all humankind. Many of you feel the vibrancy of his energy and his divine presence. He is communicating with you spiritually, telling you to raise yourselves to the level of spiritual transformation that is necessary for those of you who hear him to spread his message and his energy, to recognize that he is coming.

Guided by prayer and meditation, all men, women, and children may answer his call, but it must be soon. Time is running out! The angels are coming! Do you hear them? Are you listening?

Are you listening?

Is man more than one part isn't this the image of God?
Man is flesh and spirit and thay are one man. God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit and they are one God.
Gen. 1: 26 ¶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen. 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 6:
1And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4There were giants (Nephilimin) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Nephilim translated by King James as Giants, it means "fallen ones".

Sons of God means Angels, Satan was called a Son of God, (he was one of the Fallen Angels, Read Revelations 12:7

Also read Jude 4-6,
2 Peters 2:4,11
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved...

If science is all based on theories, then how is saying you believe in science any different than a Christian saying they believe in God and the Bible.

P.S. though this may be biased if you say we can test certain things well people 100, 200, 300 etc. years ago believed they had it right and were proven wrong. We may look silly 100 years from now.

What influence or motivation would induce [lead, move, cause] skeptics [those who question or doubt] to research [study, examine, investigate, scrutinize] opinions [views, tenets, beliefs] other than their own?

Please do not proclaim your opinions/beliefs. That is not relevant to the question. I am very curious as to what prompts people to openly consider ideas outside of their own opinions... I tried this question before, but it seemed like most didn't understand the question. Thanks for answering!

The cornerstone of every Atheists argument - the irrefutable facts of "Science" . Forget about God and religion for a moment, and answer - why such great faith in science ? Just as the problem with religions is with the administration, the problem with science is that it relies on scientists. Human beings, subject to the same ego, hubris, greed and corruption as any other group of human beings. Known to ignore research that goes against their hypothesis, falsify their results, and just plain out and out lie, for fame or fortune or both. I heard today of 200 people dying, mostly children, from supposedly safe drug tests sanctioned by "scientists" . The scariest thing about science and scientists is that too often they take the view that the end justifies the means. I wouldn't trust a scientist any more than I would a politician, the media, or any other snake oil salesman.

Why such blind faith in science ?

I was expecting it to. All the conditions were right,it had a mystical aspect and millions of followers. Sounds like some would-be fake messiah missed a great opportunity. It seems to be completely gone now. Any ideas why this mass popular delusion never coalesed into a formal religion,at least in california where all things are possible, even Barbara Boxer?

Mohammed is supposedly a greater prophet than Christ(nevermind that Christ was much more than a prophet), yet Mohammed never performed a miracle...never raised himself from the grave(I know--Islam teaches that Christ didn't die...) and was chastised by Allah for disobedience...Yet Christ performed miracles, raised himself from the grave, and was totally without sin.

If Allah is the greatest prophet because he was chronologically the last prophet, does that make Micah a greater prophet than Isaiah? Or Joel a greater prophet than Moses?

And If Christ came to teach the Jews about compassion and faith, and to lead them away from legalism (which is what Islam teaches He did), and the Jews are cursed for not following His message, why did Allah then send Mohammed to teach a religion of legalism and to spread it at the point of a sword?

I am not looking for smart-aleck answers. Please don't respond with simple statements of faith... I am looking for a well reasoned response.
