People are sometimes very gullible and will believe almost everything. Most fail to examine scripture about false prophets. Also many minister like benny hinn say the right thing that entice many to be deceived. And for some odd reason that encourages people to hand him money.
2 Timothy 4:1-5 KJV
(1) I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
(2) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
(3) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
(4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
(5) But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
P.S. by the way I see many on here that do not realize Benny has prophesied and then changed his prophesy especially concerning Israel.

I agree to a degree. If I can see the fruits of where the money is going that is one thing. For example, I have sent money to the ACLJ, they are doing the work to protect our religious freedom. I have also sent money to James Robison- he and his wife work very hard in the mission fields, feeding and taking care of children and orphans all over the world.
I am , however, wary about some others. I see a lot of asking for money and exhorbatant spending on personal things and property and more brodcasting but very little happening on the common, practical level.
I think we need to make sure that we are supporting our home church and be discerning about what exactly we are supporting.

i do no longer think of Benny Hinn is truthful, and that i by no potential deliver him funds. he's, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, hilarious. i might liketo have faith that he's certainly a Robin Williams charater. Jack and Roxella Van Impe are tremendously good too, in case you like Benny!

I think people give to those kinds of people for all different reasons. A lot of it though is just sad desparation. Some people really believe that if they send or give money Hinn or others can heal them or their loved one, or fix their troubles.

I think you should pay your tieds and offerings to your local church. If you want to give extra it's on you and you can decide where you want to send as long as the required percentage goes to the church you are a faithful member of.

God does not judge by who you give money to. But the attitude of your heart when you do. When the widow was giving her mite into the temple fund, that fund was part of a very corrupt system setup by the Pharisees. But Jesus did not draw attention to the system she was giving to, but rather how she gave all that she had out of her poverty for the sake of the kingdom.
Benny Hinn will have to answer for what was given to him. I would not want to be in his shoes. But nothing given to God really goes to waste. God will use it. Even if He has to do it in spite of those putting it in their pockets.

It's my opinion some people try to buy their way into heaven when it seems deeds are the key. If he was not using religion to fleece money out of people, he would be trying to sell you a used car.

Could not agree more. Television evangalism is, for the most part rubbish. Jesus had not even a change of clothes.

the first 10% should definitely go to your local church, but offerings (above and beyond) can go to other ministries.
