Will you feel at all sad for them, or will you feel happy that you have been saved?

How do you think it will change your view if you know that some of those being burnt alive are people who you cared deeply about during your life?

Jesus was the last Israelite Prophet. If his message was truly for all the world then he would NEVER have said (even once) that he came only for one group of people unless he was sent only to the Israelites.

If he was sent to all the world then he would have said he had come for the whole world from the moment he started preaching.

(Matt 10:5-6)--- Jesus sent out these 12 after giving them instructions: "Don't take the road leading to other nations, and don't enter any Samaritan town. Instead, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
(Matthew 15:24) He (Jesus) replied, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
The main point is that if someone was sent for the whole world then he would have stated that from DAY ONE . Saying it later points toward a changing of directions after the first goal was not reached. This shows that the original target of the message was NOT the entire world.

God sent Jesus as a Messiah to the Jews.

A “Messiah” for the Jews was a last chance for getting forgiveness from the tremendous sin of killing so many Prophets in the past. A Messiah was to be a Redeemer for the Jews. If they accepted him and his admonitions then God would be forgive all the Jews for all their rebellion and no curse would be sent down.

It is too bad the true message of Jesus did not reach us all. We all receieved the message of Paul who never met Jesus.

Jesus was the last Prophet sent unto the Israelites and after he was denied, Prophethood was shifted to the Ishmaelites.

Many Christians have commented that "they didn't know how many atheists were in the world before they started on Yahoo Answers".

Wouldn't this be further evidence of the tunnel vision and sheltered lives that you are accused of?

People are living longer babies dont die at birth we have better health care. People in developed countries also have a much higher quality of life.

Also it seems like in the future this trend will continue. Why didnt God provide the health benefits we have now in the time of Jesus and before? It seems like everyday in research journals there is a new technique to save peoples lives!

Why was there so much suffering in the past and not as much now?

I know there is suffering now but not as much as in the past.

So why is GOD making life easier in general as time goes on?

i have been doing alot of thinking lately about religion .
i have always read king james bible and taken everything in it literally ,but now iam wondering if man has fabricated alot of it.
would god really want ppl to kill animals back in the old days(moses, noah) to let us be forgiven of sins??
or would he really want a man (jesus) to suffer and die for our stupiditys?/sins?
iam thinking maybe jesus was very close to god and was meant to teach us and that god did give him power to heal, raise dead etc, but that just maybe god never really intended for jesus to die for us!! religious leaders and mean ppl killed him! i think if u look at jesus when he was hanging dying on that cross ...his own words.....MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HATH THOU FORSAKEN ME!!??
i feel maybe jesus never really thought he would die!!
he expected to be rescued by god.
yes i think for what jesus suffered in gods name that he raised him & that someday he will come back and rule.
what do u think? he was chosen

stefan.a. has mentioned:
"a dalai lama is the head of all the budhists in the world "

NO.sri.Dalai Lama and sri.Panjan Lama are Head and Deputy Head respectively of Buddists only in Tibet. sri.Dalai Lama is not the Head of all Buddhists in the world.Buddhism has some classifications like Mahaayaana -Hinaayaana-Theravadha etc. Diferent sub-grpoups have their own leaders-as in the case of sri Lanka(former Ceylon),Mangolia etc.

Though I am a Christian, I can understand your reasons for unbelief. My question then is only directed at some atheists, because I know not all atheists generalize this way. Why is it that disbelief in God is taken to the point of almost hatred? I don't hate you for your unbelief.

What I mean specifically is that in order for you to truly have a belief that there are no Gods you must have faith he doesn't exist. Since no scientific evidence can be provided that he does exist, or does not exist.
Right now the view I have never challenged from an atheist is when they tell me "There may be a God, but I don't believe there is." Do you see the difference?
