Even with a little help from Satan?

God walks and talks (to himself?) in the garden, and plays a little hide and seek with Adam and Eve.

Does God have a body?

Does God know everything?

Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

3:8-11 "They heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden."

3:9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

When I grow up, I want to be just like "What Should I Do? Moron". However, I doubt if I'll ever have half the wit, grace, or (if that's his [her?] real picture) looks that he has. Would it be ok if I just copy and pasted his old postings and then pretended they were my own?

We know that certain stories in the OT are prophetic pictures of future events, even though they're not labeled as prophecy (such as Joseph's slavery & redemption foreshadowing Jesus' earthly trials & service).

Do you ever wonder whether any events in the NT (also not labled as prophecy), foreshadow future events as well? Lately, I've been pondering the similarities between Acts 13:6-11 and Revelation 13:11-18.

Has anyone else thought of this possibility?

“There is strong reason to believe that St. Paul fabricated the belief system of Christianity from Zoroastrian mythology. In order to hide Paul’s plaigerism… Christians burned the library of Alexandria in 390 A.D. Books in that library kept Mithra’s original story of what Pauline Doctrine is an almost exact copy. (George Sarton , Introduction to History of Sciences)

"The word Trinity is not found in the Bible . . . It did not find a place formally in the theology of the church till the 4th century." -- The Illustrated Bible Dictionary

Monotheism is the true belief in the God of Abraham which is why Jews and Muslims do not believe in the Trinity.

The belief that a diety can be three separate entities AT ONE AND THE SAME TIME is considered to be Polytheism.

"The three-in-one/one-in-three mystery of Father, Son and Holy Ghost made tritheism official. The subsequent almost-deification of the Virgin Mary made it quatrotheism . . . Finally, cart-loads of saints raised to quarter-deification turned Christianity into plain old-fashioned polytheism. By the time of the Crusades, it was the most polytheistic religion to ever have existed, with the possible exception of Hinduism.

This untenable contradiction between the assertion of monotheism and the reality of polytheism was dealt with by accusing other religions of the Christian fault. The Church - Catholic and later Protestant - turned aggressively on the two most clearly monotheistic religions in view - Judaism and Islam - and persecuted them as heathen or pagan.

The external history of Christianity consists largely of accusations that other religions rely on the worship of more than one god and therefore not the true God. These pagans must therefore be converted, conquered and/or killed for their own good in order that they benefit from the singularity of the Holy Trinity, plus appendages." -- The Doubter's Companion (John Ralston Saul)

Belief in the flying spaghetti monster.
Belief that Zeus is the one true god.
Belief that we are the remnants of alien spirits
Belief that the Lord of the Rings is a true story

What kinds of words would you use to describe people that believe these things?
1. unintelligent
2. stupid
3. delusional
4. mentally handicapped
5. illogical
6. irrational
7. dumb

If you feel that most or any of these words can be used to describe people with these beliefs, then you can understand how atheist's view christianity and the other larger religions. And why we associate these words with the people that believe these things.

If you are secure in your faith then maybe you should not take offense to other's opinions about your beliefs.
Or maybe your sensitivity is a result of you knowing deep down your beliefs are similar to those listed above.

Five out of six translators had no biblical language training. Only one, Frederick Franz, had any Classical Greek training but took only one 2 hour credit class in Biblical Greek and dropped out of college before completing his junior year. The bulk of his studies were under a Greek instructor who taught entry-level courses not a professor as Franz claimed.

That means there was only man capable of doing translation work for the "New World Translation" that the Jehovah Witnesses adhere to. Would you trust your version of the Bible if there was only one translator with any resemblance of training?

He doesn't care about what happen to us especially me, does He? I'm afraid to say but I think He is a shame when it comes to willing to help people who pray Him. I'm not an atheist but a christian who's have had enough and tired of this God who claims to have power.

Now, I'm not debating whether or not it's an abomination - however, I am debating the popular mentality that homosexuality is "unnatural".

First let's take a look at the word "Unnatural", shall we? It means not in accordance with or determined by nature; contrary to nature.

If homosexuality is so contrary to nature, why do I see it all the time in nature? Just today I saw my two male cats (out of three, there is a female) "enjoying each others company". I've also seen dogs, animals at the zoo, etc. taking part in homosexual acts.

So, how is homosexuality unnatural if it's found in nature?

Why do chrisitins & other relgious types think morality is about having a miserable or lack of sex life?

Funny you Jesus just said treat others how you would have them treat you.

Now logically that would make living togehter, being gay, checking out porn as long as ok say girls checking out naked guy porn, or checking you out.

Would make Pole dancing ok as long as you were willing to have a go etc all ok.

Basically just saying dont rape or bully anyone.

So why is it there is so much nastiness and bullying in the name of morality , and killing etc.

Instead of everyone acting like free love hippies? Which seemed to have a lot more in common with your Jesus character then most christians.

likewise why dont most relgions like islam not think the same.

like the wicca...as long as it harms none do as you will.

Now negligence is not treating others right so that would mean safe sex.

Just like lifeboats on a boat.

I know that my sense of Oneness/Unity/Connection with other lifeforms stems from my believe in One Supreme Being. I was wondering if it is possible to feel a sense of "Oneness" with other beings if you don't believe in any "god"? This is not meant to be insulting or humorous, I'm asking seriously.

So specifically directed to Atheists: do you feel a sense of "Oneness" with other beings? Do you feel that we are all united in some way? Thanks for any information you can provide!

Peace.

I've read that the term "almah" was translated incorrectly as a 'virgin' instead of a 'young woman' from the old testiment to the new. Does anyone have any information to back this up or what do you think about this?
