1st the bible doesn't teach a trinity, except in false worship.
Harper’s Bible Dictionary
Baal / Bel ,
translates into English as Lord
offspring of El, (Hebrew for God)
worshiped as a triad / trinity.
Where did I hear this teaching recently?
Sounds like a teaching of Satan,
2nd. Paul didn't teach a trinity.
(Romans 15:4-6) . . .. 5 Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant YOU to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had, 6 that with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Peter didn't teach a trinity
(1 Peter 1:3) 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for according to his great mercy he gave us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
John didn't teach a trinity
(Revelation 1:5-6) . . .— 6 and he made us to be a kingdom, priests to his God and Father—yes, to him be the glory and the might forever. Amen.
Jesus didn't teach a trinity.
(Revelation 3:12) 12 “‘The one that conquers—I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will by no means go out [from it] anymore, and I will write upon him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem which descends out of heaven from my God, and that new name of mine.
Jesus and faithful Christians reject the trinity.

While the Bible does not speak of a trinity, it speaks of a plural presence from the very beginning of the Bible. In the Book of Genesis, it says "Lets us make man in our own image." What this means was a divine mystery for the Hebrew people. In the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abendago(sic) there was a fourth presence in the fiery furnace. This has been interpreted as the spirit of God. Then, Jesus tells the disciples "A comforter cometh" which has been interpreted as the Holy Spirit.
Now, after the death and resurrection of Christ, we experience the coming of the Holy Spirit. Now, the Holy Spirit does not simply arrive as flames of glory, but as a sort of wisdom, a way of communicating to others about the power of God. Some Christians call this the tongues of the Holy Spirit and is an unknown, mystery language. Others believe it is WIsdom, which if translated is called Sophia.
I know you're are saying "You aren't answering my question!" This is where I answer your question.
Jews believe in the coming of a Messiah, but they do not believe that he has done that yet. They do not accept the teaching that Christ is the living Son of God. If the Messiah has not come yet, then there is no comforting Spirit in the form of the Holy Spirit. This belief in Christian religion is tantimount to the Jews to idolatry because we don't just worship God the Father, but God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. And it's the same story with Muslims.
Muslims believe Christians and Jews both have it wrong, that man's salvation is based on his own personal relationship and spiritual sacrifice and commitment with God through the teachings and wisdom of the Koran, given to the Prophet Mohammed by an archangel.
Clear as mud?

Mithra,
It should noty matter what any other group of people think about GOD as long as they are open enough to listen and obey HIS WORD before it is too late. Judaism was GOD's Religion prior to Christ's resurrection and ascension. The Apostles went to Pentecost and Peter preached the first Christian Sermon in Acts 2 where the crowd was in disbelief because they were all able to understand him even though they came from many different countries and spoke many different languages. The HOLY SPIRIT interceded and gave him the ability to do so. GOD is our FATHER. HE has the HOLY SPIRIT and the SON at HIS SIDE and HE is omnipotent. The ONE TRUE GOD of Abraham is our GOD also. This is NOT polytheism or tritheism, it is Monotheism. Paul, the Apostle, was inspired in his writings by the HOLY SPIRIT (GOD). HIS writings are a part of our HOLY BIBLE. You and I will answer to the Savior when HE comes to Judge each of us. I am hopeful that by then you have found the ONE TRUE GOD and are able to be forgiven of your sins as I hope that I am also. Have a great week.
Thank you,
Eds

Richard Rubenstein demonstrates that the doctrine of a Triune God was developed over a period of centuries and that from the Council of Nicea backward, there was no monolithic perspective of a Trinity. There were various views of what the New Testament actually taught (When Jesus Became God, paperback available CHEAP at amazon.com). Anyone who emails me I will send an entire PDF book (free) that discusses the NT evidence for the Father being the only true almighty God, the God OF the Lord Jesus Christ, not WITH the Lord Jesus Christ (John 17:3; 1 Corinthians 8:6). Check out some of this discussion that we've already covered at my Disciples for One God forum (4OneGod.net).

Those who seek God's truth know Jesus and have spiritual understanding. Jew's followed the law and missed the meaning of the law. Muslims never knew the God that existed before Muhammad. The Torah and Gospel all show the doctrine of the trinity is truth.

The Bible says "God said, let US make man in our image".
David wrote "The Lord, said to my Lord,..."
The Father is God.
But Jesus said that "ALL power and authority is give to Me".
(That means some one gave Him all power and authority.
Do you not think that some one with ALL power and authority should not be called God?)
It is not written about the Holy Ghost, why He is God but it is implied that He is God also (The Father must have given Him the same blessing as Jesus, but with a different mission).

The Jews worship one god, the muslims worship one god, that is Monotheism. The christians believe in three gods. that is not Monotheism that is Polytheism. Not buying the three way pie story either.

There is strong evidence to suggest that the Doctrine of the Trinity lies in ancient pagan and polytheist cultures and religions.
