Take out the words "christian religion" and replace them with any other religion and you will still have a valid question. Religion doesn't make sense. Deity, by whatever name, is too big for our human minds to grasp. It is at this point where you must let go of questions about the human mechanics of our religious rituals, and simply make a leap of faith.
There are parts of my spirituality that make no sense to anybody else, and in truth, would not serve anyone else. The only reason you would need a clear cut answer to your question about Jesus and his father (which I notice you didn't call him God) is if you are going into the clergy and you must profess a particular dogma. As a person with free-will, you can pray to whomever your heart loves and let that be enough. Anyone who tries to tell you you're doing it wrong or that way is sinful, is (in my humble opinion) an idiot. Yet so many smart people will believe in idiotic things because some other idiot said the dumbest thing in the world, but made it sound like holy truth.
My favorite answer in the world to any spiritual question is: "I don't know." Well, my friend, I don't know the answer to your question. I think there might not be one, and that you'll just have to decide that answer for yourself -- make the leap of faith or not. Believe or not. If you're waiting for your religion to make sense, you'll wait forever.

If Christianity does not make sense, that is normal so do not feel bad about it. God does not ask for you understand, just believe.
Pray to One or the Other, you get both.
First, a note regarding the word "Trinity". Yes, you will not find the word trinity in the Bible. In fact, you will not even find the word "Bible" in the Bible. But that is not an issue. It is a word that abbreviates a concept. That concept being that God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three distinct personalities within a single Godhead. It is like the concept of light. Is there such a thing as white light? Yes. Does it exist as one light? Technically, no. It exists as a compound unity of equal illumination of red, green and blue spectrum. So white light does NOT exist? Of course it does. But in the form of three-in-one. Science can explain it, and we have just gotten used to it. In the eternal, such things are equally possible and exist. God is light, and in Him, there is no darkness at all. What color? Pure white via a three-fold unity.

I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus the Son. As Jesus said that we should.

Jesus is God. If you accept this single fact then the New Testament and all of the Old Testament prophesy concerning Jesus makes total sense. It was sinless God that died on the cross to pay the price for mankind's sins, so that mankind could fellowship with God. Acceptance of Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection is all that is required to be born again and start on a life in Christ.

Christianity can be quite confusing.. There's so many differences between all the denominations of the religion that people always ask, "Well, which one is right? Which is the best?" There's so many things in the Bible that are unclear and open for interpretation that it makes the religion hard to understand. The main thing you need to know about Christians is that we believe Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. God sent Him to Earth to spread His word and die for our sins. As long as a Christian believes in God, believes that Jesus died for the salvation of the World (even people who don't believe in Him) and that their sins will truely be washed clean if they sincerely repent them, then it doesn't matter what denomination they are.

That depends on which Christian religion you are talking about, as they all have different beliefs. A Christian is anyone who believes in Christ and tries to follow him. The best way is to find out for yourself (by the way, you pray to God, even Jesus did that).

Adam was created in the image of God. He had a body, He had a soul. All people are now made in the image of Adam because He sinned we are sinners and we are made up of body soul and spirit. God is made up of three parts also. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We pray to the father through the Lord Jesus Christ for He is the mediator between God and man. God cave the commandments which are God's standard and nobody is able to meet God's standard so the Lord Jesus Christ had to come to earth as a man so He could die for our sins. Your god is not able to forgive sins because he is the old sun and moon god that was worship in times past. Now people think by their praying three times a day and killing people they can go to Paradise. That don't make sense to me. Philippians 2: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Philippians 2: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Philippians 2: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Funny how these atheists tell you not to listen to these "Bible thumpers", but then offer no reasonable advice in return. Don't listen to these atheists, they're just mad that God hasn't provided a perfect life for them, and feel better when they take out their frustration on Christians.
Listen to the Christians, because they only want to help you to save your own soul. The atheists don't want to be alone when Christ returns to Earth to reclaim all of His children, and they'll tell you anything to get you to believe their asinine rhetoric. All we'll do is quote historical scriptures, in the hopes that you'll find solace in them just as we did.
All I'll tell you is that you should read the Bible, and make an informed decision for yourself. God gave you free will, and the decision is yours to make. No Christian is going to force you to believe what we believe. We'll leave it up to the atheists to force their beliefs (or lack thereof) on you with impunity. We'll just point you in the right direction, and hope that you come around.

Because of the sacrifice of Jesus, our sins can now be forgiven, and by His cleansing we have the right to now come to the Father in prayer.
This right is often stated some thing like " Father, in the name of Jesus I am praying that You would. . . ."

Can't explain anything to a closed heart.
Christians pray to Our Father, which is in Heaven, in Jesus' name. Jesus is our High Priest. When we pray, we are addressing our prayer to God, and Jesus takes this prayer, and pleads our case to God, our Father.
